  1. Nothing more than a car-topper here. 70F/DP 68F
  2. July 6th and no cicadas yet. Some years I've heard them as early as late June. Gotta think in the next week they'll make an appearance? 81F/DP 72F
  3. This morning's mesos don't seem too impressed with the rain in western PA reaching our area. It is drying up a bit out there, may skip this week's mow. 80F/DP 68F
  4. Pretty much have had sun all day. Some amazing cloud formations all around me. If I wasn’t so lazy, I’d post pics. 81F/DP 71F
  5. We lost our first minute of daylight in the morning! IT BEGINS! 74F/DP70F
  6. I fear the same thing, too. Sensible weather wise, this late spring/early summer reminds me of 2002. (This is all from memory, so I could be way off--too lazy to look at the almanac.) I think we had an early heatwave in May 2002 around Mother's Day. June and early July were pleasant with some heat spikes like this year, but nothing sustained. Around July 4th, we had a big cold front push through keeping our temp and humidity in check until about July 10th or so. Then we were off to the races. The remainder of July, August and the first half of September were scorching and dry. I think we had some tropical remnants come through mid/late September that finally flipped the pattern. The big difference between now and summer 2002 was we were heading into an El Nino that year. Just curious to see if this summer follows a similar course (cause we know how winter 2002-03 turned out.) . 63F/DP 62F
  7. Strange day out there. Was warm and sticky this morning, got up to 76F. Now it feels like a marine layer has moved in, temp down to 69F/DP 63F.
  8. This time of year, any day I don't have to run the AC is one day closer to fall. 79F/DP 58F
  9. Haha...and I though I was crazy tracking the minutes but you have it down to the second! Initially we'll be losing daylight in the mornings. I think between now and 8/1, we'll only lose about 15 minutes or so in the evening. Still, psychologically, it's nice to know we're headed in the right direction. 72F/DP 47F
  10. So nice to be able to enjoy the outside this time of year and not hibernate in the AC. 71F/DP 47F. Accuwx’s July outlook has us +1 to +2 above average but looks like the big heat stays out west.
  11. Late fall…September and October feature plenty of heat advisories these days. 66F/DP 51F
  12. Agnes was just before my 6th birthday, so I have very limited memory of her. My mom is from Manayunk and I remember waking down to the Green Lane bridge to see the Schuylkill. 86F/DP 73F
  13. Picked up a quick .60" this morning. Looks like another line forming to the NW. 62F.
  14. Just had a shower roll through. Dropped my temp to 64F but popped my DP up to 60F. A breeze would be nice.
  15. MCS sliding by to my SW, may get clipped by some rain later this morning. 66F/DP 57F
  16. Even the 3k NAM is south of the 12k. While it looks like a miss to the south, I wouldn't 100% completely write it off just yet. I remember the morning of the June 2020 MCS (which took out about 1/2 dozen trees on my property), radar show that massive blob of storms heading our way from Erie, and none of the models even initialized with it! Anyway... 84F/DP 73F...humid
  17. Heaviest of this morning's rain passed to my south east. Still, pick up about .30" of a soaking rain to keep the lawn green. 64F
  18. Back down to $4.99. Damn, we’re never going to reach $6.00 by 4th of July at this rate.
  19. Don't recall what game I was playing, but came home from Wildwood with Zeppelin and Def Leppard mirrors one summer. Still had them boxed up in the crawl space until Isaias.
  20. Looks like .90" overnight. Got woken up by the heavy rain and a few loud boomers. DP still 67F, so the front hasn't cleared. 74F.
  21. I caved and put the AC on too. It's only 82F but the 65F DP makes it a bit uncomfortable. P.S. What are we to do with all these weenies from Greenskeeper? Can we redeem them for prizes like skee ball tickets? I think I have enough for the large Hello Kitty plush, a rainbow wig and some sparklers & snaps.
  22. HRRR says stuff to the north fizzles out. 18Z NAM doesn't even have stuff to the north, so there's that. Sun coming back out.
  23. Getting some rain now. No wind or thunder. 76F/DP 72F
