  1. Looks like 2.75” here. The lawn is happy and I don’t need to fill the bird bath today. I was under the tornado warning but nothing happened here. Don’t even recall much wind last night.
  2. 89F/DP 72F...can I sneak in a 90F today??
  3. It would be the second time this year a tropical entity moved through the region and our backyards had little to show for it. Elsa was a nothing burger here, too. Still, as Newman keeps mentioning, we'll have to keep an eye out for a line (maybe two?) of severe weather this evening into the overnight. 75F/DP 73F
  4. Flood Advisories in northern DE, those storms have been sitting there for a few hours. Any posters down there? 82F/DP 72F
  5. Only 16 days until met fall. Sun now sets before 8pm. NFL pre-season and Little League World Series under way. Not much longer until winter storm warnings, virga and brine make their return! 80F/DP 56F
  6. 83F at noon today, so much better than the last few days. Still humid as &%#£ with a DP of 72F My forecasted high today is 88F, but with a good cloud deck overhead I hope to stay in the low to mid 80’s. So glad the AC is still working, wasn’t sure if it would make it through yesterday…lol!
  7. Kissed 95F for a bit but have since settled “back down” to 93F.
  8. I've already matched yesterday's high of 93F, how much will I tack on from here?? I see there's a severe watch to our SW, with a little luck maybe some of that can find it's way into our region.
  9. A little something rolled through around 1am leaving a T in the bucket. 73F/70 DP at post time. Maxed out at 93F yesterday.
  10. Been sitting at 93F with a DP of 75F. I'm debating if I want to go get the mail or leave it there until November?
  11. 84F at noon yesterday, 86F today. Topped out at 92F yesterday. I'm going with 95F today. I think some off-and-on cloud cover before yesterday's storms moved in kept things in check. Don't think I'll be as lucky today. Also hearing last night's Euro weeklies bring the ridge back to the east later in the month. I haven't paid much attention to how they've been performing this summer.
  12. Picked up .80” yesterday, the lawn is happy. 73F/DP 72F
  13. Pouring here, but I'd say sub-severe. Gusts maybe 25-30mph range. Some thunder & lightning, but not much. Temp down to 80F.
  14. Gust front coming through, temp down to 86F after a high of 92F.
  15. 78F at noon yesterday, 84F today. I'm gonna guess 93F-94F imby today.
  16. I managed to miss out on any big rains, just about .25” total from yesterday. Overnight low of 70F with full sun this morning, should have no trouble passing 90F today.
  17. First round sort of skipped over me and reformed just to my east. Picked up 0.10" and dropped my temp down to 77F. Reached 89F again today so the heat wave will have to wait until tomorrow.
  18. It suddenly turned into night here. Looks like I may get clipped.
  19. I think those storm near Reading are warned. Still sub 90 here, 88F for a high so far.
  20. Clouds so far have delayed the start of the heat wave. Only 78F here at noon, topped out at 89F yesterday. Got woken up by some boomers passing by overnight, but only 0.10" in the bucket.
  21. Yeah, I'm going to keep it simple this year. If I start hearing talk about Pac jet extensions, I'm closing the blinds...lol!
  22. We can hope, right?? Interesting speculation in the NYC forum, about how winter years that end in 1-2 kind of suck, for instance... 2011-12 dead ratter 2001-02 dead ratter 1991-92 m'eh, an occasional nickel & dimer in there 1981-82 a good winter as I recall 1971-72 starting to get a bit before my time, but I don't think it was anything special Is there some sort of physical cycle at work here, or just random coincidence? I suspect the latter, but maybe that's because I'm a weenie who wants a snowy winter.
  23. Halloween stuff showing up in stores already, 45 days until fall!
