  1. It's been raining 5 feet from my house for about a 1/2 hour now. Oh well, knocked my temp down from a high of 87F to 81F.
  2. Looks like NOAA has some questions about that reading... https://www.inquirer.com/news/jersey-shore-record-water-temperatures-weather-20220827.html 77F/DP 71F
  3. Made it to 89F today, then the clouds rolled in. Avoided a “heatwave” by that much. Gotta take these small victories where you find them. Sitting at 86F.
  4. I'm underwhelmed by our new, wet weather pattern. Hit 91F yesterday. Forecasted high today is 88F. Wouldn't be surprised if temps overperform and I make it to 90F for a third consecutive day. 77F/DP 65F
  5. Probably means the changeover line will be west of Cleveland this winter Looks like fall out there with the leaves coming down, but certainly feels like summer (cuz it is)...89F/DP 66F Hit 90F for a bit yesterday, should do so again today. Can I hit 90F tomorrow and sneak in another heatwave??
  6. 89F at 1pm, should have no trouble making it into the low 90s today Dews not too bad at 63F.
  7. Somehow managed to eek out .90" yesterday. Had a few downpours last evening, so that may have inflated my totals. 69F/DP 68F
  8. .30" with lollies of .35" Getting a shower now. I guess on the positive side, what rain is falling is gentle enough to soak in and not run off. Hopefully some more storms fire up this afternoon. 73F/DP 72F
  9. NAM say, "M'eh, enjoy your 40 drops." 79F/DP 70F
  10. ALEET: Candy corn on store shelves. Fall is coming
  11. Yep. Touched 90F, then Agnes’s clouds rolled in and I’ve been sitting at 89F for much of the afternoon.
  12. 85F at noon, looks like I'll make a run at 90F (or above) today. This morning I was woken by the sound of a cracking branch, although never heard it fall. Guess it's a sign of how stressed the trees are getting. I'll look around later today to see I notice anything in my yard or maybe the sound was coming from a neighbor's yard.
  13. I'd be more than happy with a repeat of 2000-01 (minus 3/5/01). Actually, I'm surprised at how much Philly proper got that year, I recall it as a Fall Line north and west winter. But now that I think about it, Philly probably cashed in on that weird Miller B storm just before New Years while the sun was out in West Chester.
  14. Hmmm...the mesos kinda, sorta green on us a bit later today. Not much, just a passing shower, but I'd gladly take it. 73F/DP 63F
  15. Buck up...we'll get plenty of rain come Dec, Jan and Feb
  16. Our new, wet weather pattern has produced partly cloudy skies here. 71F/DP 60F
  17. Made it up to 86F today. Sure didn’t feel it with dews in the 50’s. 81F/DP 53F
  18. On the plus side, the sun now sets before 8pm.
  19. So...what time does the rain get underway? Asking for a friend. Seriously, this has such a mid-winter-Miller-B-screw-job look to it. Precipitation dying off to our west as the coastal takes over too far OTS. And if it were winter, we'd be invoking all sorts of weenisms to wish cast this thing into existence..."Convective feedback!! The models are chasing the thunderstorms. The low will form closer to the coast." 82F/DP 56F
  20. Made it up to 89F today, almost accidentally started another heatwave 86F/DP 61F
  21. Got down to 72F overnight with a whopping .06" of rain. Hope we cash in next week, kinda looking Miller B-ish. 74F/DP 68F
  22. Could do no better than 87F today, heatwave over!
  23. Got down to 74F overnight, one of the chillier mornings in recent memory. Only 83F at noon with some clouds moving in. DP still 70F...yay!
  24. While the rain may have been underwhelming, it did knock my temp down to 79F. Of course with a DP of 75F, it still feels like azz out there.
