  1. Not that I'm aware of in my neck of the woods. Towamencin township canceled a scheduled movie night in Fischer's Park for this evening, but they said it was due to the park being "waterlogged". No mention of flooding. The creek in my backyard stayed in it's banks. Looks like an unofficial 5.75" event total here.
  2. Agreed! After a long, hot, humid, dry summer, several October days of raw, rainy, windy conditions are more than welcome IMBY. Besides, winter will be here soon enough and we'll go on a 3-4 month stretch of above average temps. Already pushing 60F here, sitting at 59F. May have to open a window or two this afternoon.
  3. Approaching 5.5" for an event total so far, 48F. Starting to see color in the trees already. Not sure what that's about but way ahead of last year. We took the fall excursion on the Ivyland-New Hope RR late last October and the canopy was still mostly green .
  4. About 3.25" for the event so far, 46F/DP 44F. Given the dry summer, I was worried there wouldn't be much color to the foliage this year. Hopefully this rain helps out in that regard.
  5. Those wimps in the MA forum are already discussing turning on the heat. #@$% that!! Windows wide open with a refreshing breeze blowing through the house. 61F/DP 48F
  6. Remember that season when Carson Wentz was good? Yeah.
  7. Yep, epic down pour with one clap of thunder. Fortunately I was loading groceries in the car when the skies decided to open up. 62F/DP 60F
  8. Front is through and down we go...63F/DP 60F. Topped out at 74F this morning.
  9. I'd post Paul Pastelok's (from Accuwx) 2022-23 winter outlook, but I don't think anyone is going to like it.
  10. The rain has arrived, pretty decent downpour. 74F/DP 68F
  11. 12 hours until fall. 74F/DP 68F And if this winter is a ratter--only 364 1/2 days until fall 2023!!
  12. There are herds of squirrels in the yard this morning, they must know fall arrives on Thursday. 63F/DP 62F
  13. What happened to our 90’s this week?? I was so looking forward to running the AC some more and jacking up my PECO bill. 77F/DP 65F
  14. The big ones get sniffed out early. 77F/DP 61F
  15. Ji's doesn't have an optimistic bone in his body. That's a Jeb forecast. 68F/DP 67F...disgusting!
  16. Saw my first woolly bear of the season -- thick, brown stripe. I'll save Ji the trouble...winter cancelled! See ya in 2023-24. 76F/DP 56F
  17. I was thinking if we can get more rain next week, not only will it help with the drought, but it will also help restore soil moisture. If so, hopefully that can help take the edge off any late season heat. 75F/DP 60F
  18. Been getting a steady light/moderate rain for the last hour, the lawn is loving it. 68F/DP 64F
  19. Overcast, fall-like morning out there with a temp of 66F. AC off and windows open. DP still a little on the sticky side at 64F.
  20. Going with 3.70" for the event. May need to dig out the lawn mower again. 71F/DP 68F
  21. Looking like 3.54" for the event so far. Despite the heavier downpours, I've had periods of gentle, soaking rains. 70F/ DP69F
  22. Sounds like Dr. No is warming up for winter. I’ll take the under. 84F/DP 52F
  23. Given our new climate, you should be a in a good mood through Christmas Awesome sleeping weather these last few night, AC catching a nice break. 72F/DP 52F
  24. Had a 5-minute downpour, perhaps the most exciting event of the summer. A few boomers mixed in but little in the way of wind. After a high of 91F, sitting at 72F now.
