Lawn starting to brown up again in spots. Picked up .15” in the wee hours of Friday morning. Gonna need more than that. 74F/DP 67F

Don't forget carrying folding chairs...from the auditorium, to the cafeteria, to the library, to the church basement, to empty classrooms...I must have carried hundreds of folding chairs from here to China! 89F/DP 65F

Not sure if they would need to extend the school year by a week. With the above mentioned globular warming, it's not like they'll be using built-in snow days.

Early dismissal for Philly schools due to the heat. It’s becoming an annual ritual. When I was growing up, we never began school before Labor Day. Maybe the Philly school district will one day realize August is a summer month.

Bottomed out at 60F this morning. Currently 70F/DP 60F. Starting to feel like late summer out there. Yeah, we probably have plenty of hot & humid days to go, but we certainly earned this break!

Yes, there's still a tornado watch until 2pm. But until that line to our west clears the area, I imagine there's still a risk. Curious to see if the watch is extended a few hours based on the timing of the line.

And we got Iggles tonight!! Yeah sure, it'll be a bunch of 4th stringers who aren't even good enough for the CFL with endless false starts, illegal motion & formation penalties, clock management issues, etc. But football season is here!!

Getting some mod to light rain with thunder. The good news is it dropped my temp from 92F down to 82F. The better news is, if the long range outlook is correct, we won't see 90F again for awhile!!
