  1. Tough week last week. Lost one of our dogs… 8 year old spaniel greyhound mix. Fine Tuesday morning, sick Tuesday afternoon. Went to the vet, she diagnosed her with immune mediated thrombocytopenia and took blood work to see how bad it was, sent us home with meds, call us Thursday with results. Dog couldn’t move once we got her home, wouldn’t eat or drink or take any meds. She passed away at about 10pm on Wednesday night. Happened so fast.
  2. The last 10 days or so has been comical. Storms matrix around my property any chance they get. My sister in law lives 10 mins up the road in easton maybe 4-5 miles away, and they got drenched for almost 2 hours yesterday
  3. Weird, can’t even here it from here and it’s only a couple miles away. Steined again. Lawn is toast
  4. Just checked the closest USGS observation well to my house (about 1-1.5 miles from me) and the last reading was late June. Ground water levels were pretty much well within the norm, going back ten years.
  5. Things been hitting the weight room. Pats could use a big run stopping DT
  6. You realize how big the Taunton area is right? I basically live in Easton.. and he pretty much lives in lakeville. It would probably take me close to 25 minutes to from here to there.
  7. https://whdh.com/news/new-hampshire-search-for-maura-murray-over-investigation-continues/ This is such a weird story. My wife listened to one of her true crimes thing on it
  8. Lots of beer this morning from some folks. looks isolated at best this afternoon
  9. That doesn’t seem like a lot for a well that deep. And it looks like some wetlands nearby? That’s odd. I have no idea what my well produces. Nobody in the neighborhood has ever run their well dry though. Some people running irrigation 8 hours a day too. I guess that might be a benefit to living on the Hockomock swamp
  10. Thunder and lightning but Steined again
  11. Well yes, overall we’ve done well. The Jan blizzard was just pure luck.. can’t predict where those narrow swaths will end up. My whole point was it’s hard to view last season negatively for a winter enthusiast around here. Storm of a lifetime, and some other decent events mixed in. Retention is never the name of the game here, so I don’t really hold that against it. Anyway, back on topic. I’m more impressed with Christmas dews than I have been with this summers so far.
  12. You and even me somewhat have consistently caught that 20 mile wide band for like 2 decades now. He has a point. I can’t bring myself to talk poorly about a season where I got 3/4 of my climo snowfall in one event
  13. I think you may have nailed the issue. The spot I sent in the pic is dead southwest and so is the older spot I just noticed.
  14. Thanks…. I just noticed one higher up on the tree… same direction, that looks like it’s healed up/closed. I’ll take a look at the fungus stuff just to be safe. the tree appears to be healthy…. Fully leafed out, and putting out good new growth
  15. @tamarack @dendrite what could have caused this huge gash on my cherry tree? Is this going to be an issue long term? Is there anything I can do about it?
  16. Pass. View may be nice but I’m sure it smells like stale boat gas and low tide.
