  1. Thinking we are going to get shutout in SE Mass
  2. Also, does anyone want to venture to guess why some of my new blue spruce trees look ever so “faded” on the bottom. They aren’t brown, but the needles don’t look 100% healthy. Could it just be that they were newly transplanted this year and it’s been hot and dry? (I’ve been watering them appropriate amounts)
  3. Unless the price of propane doubles or something, I just don’t think a heat pump is worth it at my location. Electric has traditionally been pretty affordable here having a municipal electric company, so we have an electric hot water heater, stove etc etc. propane is strictly used for heating. 200 gallons at 3.94 will cost me a hair under 800 bucks and that will be more than enough to get me through this winter. Its hard to justify spending any money on upgrading a heating system that heats a 2800 square foot house for under 800 a winter
  4. Just ordered 200 gallons of propane to be delivered next week. That’ll be more than enough to get me through winter. 3.94 a gallon
  5. Never really have been all that interested in the rain, but I’m realizing now it would be nice to have accurate records
  6. Sweet. Thanks. I’m going to get a gauge to back up my electronic stuff. Hate guessing.
  7. So looking at surrounding stations I may be way low on my rain estimate for the day. closest one to me has 2.91 for the day. I may have missed way more while the power was out than .25
  8. Additional .17 with that line. 1.99 on the day. .99 yesterday
  9. . just kidding around. Hope you catch some of this next batch
  10. Have you watered those oaks yet today? I’m sure the town salutes you.
  11. 1.82” is what I’m going with, that’s a conservative estimate since power was out for a bit so no gauge. Looks final unless something fires up later
  12. Suns out, looks like we are about done here. Nice event
  13. 1.77 on the day, looks to be winding down shortly
  14. Absolutely dumping again. If that line in CT holds together and makes it here, look out
  15. Had .95. Before losing power… I’m guessing about .25 or so after losing power until station came back on. Now up to .15
  16. Screwed, no idea how much rain we’ve got either… was at an inch when the power went out
