  1. That's pretty much how I described it earlier. Precip waning away as it moves towards Syracuse and then bands refiring to the South and east as secondary takes over. I have seen it over and over and over here. This setup sucks for Syracuse and is why our totals have been so low these past several years. I fully intend for this area to underachieve...and that's not me being "negative." It is what it is...and that is still frustrating.
  2. With pretty much all the systems this year going more north, I highly doubt the Ukie is correct here.
  3. Hm. How far north are you thinking on the sleet line? Maybe from you to Dansville to Penn Yan to Cortland to Cooperstown?
  4. Canadian looks juicer than it did on 0Z run. Nice hit for most of us.
  5. I am thinking more along the lines of when the secondary takes over. The Finger Lakes area is like a black hole for precip.
  6. I can already tell you how it plays out. Precip. fading as it moves over the Finger Lakes region. New banding forms on a line from Utica to Cazenovia to Cortland to Ithaca and Southeast.
  7. Kuchera looks like 20:1 ratios over Southern Ontario and 15ish:1 in CNY. With this being a SWFE, I fully expect snowflake size to suck and for us to be closer to 10:1 ratios. Once the lake gets involved on the backside, those ratios will increase.
  8. Other than it dropped the low from West Central PA to northern WV? Haha...and didn't change any outcome.
  9. Check out that narrow jackpot zone and that cutoff to the south. Would be a nice hit for the parched areas.
  10. They've all pretty much trended weaker and farther south with this run. Not sure what to think.
  11. Looks to me like the GFS is going the way of the Euro in reducing snow amounts for CNY as we get closer. Shocked..not shocked. This time we'll get missed to the East. My call of 3 to 6 inches from the other day is looking pretty good. If it takes the southern track, 3 to 6 inches...if it goes north, 6 inches and then sleet. Those are my two calls.
  12. I wish! He doesn't really use it much. He uses the Lidocaine gel first and then the Novocaine in the needle. I love that gel stuff...because when we were kids, it was only the needle and that traumatized me. The gel makes the needle feel like nothing.
  13. 3 Things I'm thankful for right now: 1) My dentist 2) Being able to take wet socks off 3) Novocaine
  14. I did get outside to enjoy the sunshine, but there was still several inches of slush (or mud) at the park. So now I sit here at the dentist with WET feet. Lol
  15. At 58 degrees, it is 10 above the forecasted high and almost 25 degrees above "average." But again, highs 20 to 25 degrees above normal seem quite common in the time I have lived here. Microclimate of awful Chinook winds.
  16. Syracuse is the most ridiculous climate I have ever lived in. If you love warmth, it's the place for you.
  17. Through Friday night. I think this is counting only snow. Adirondacks look best.
  18. Low 50s and 5 degrees above forecasted high in the hell furnace of Saharasizzlecuse. Warmest place in the state. Again.
  19. The mixing always goes farther north than models show. Thruway is mixed.
  20. Sigh always a push of warmth up through the anus of the Finger Lakes.
