First snow threat brewing on D10 OP euro? Just need that to stay on for a few more runs and then watch the meltdown when it disappears at 192 hours.
Maybe first token weenie flakes but looks cold and dry to me.

Likely overdone..but that’s impressive for us inland peeps.
Except in the Pioneer Valley where wind goes to die.

The days should really start cooling off now once the sun starts setting at 430.
Just 8 weeks until days start getting longer.

He tweeted that this morning. Haven’t seen an update
Nobody in the Getty Fire evacuation zone is getting home anytime soon. Santa Ana winds will be cranking tomorrow. Lebron and Arnold Schwarzenegger will need to find other accommodations. That's not a huge fire but is threatening densely populated areas. Also creating traffic nightmares on the 405.

Euro indicates potential for some pretty strong wind gusts Friday.
Speaking of winds...the situation in CA is going to get worse before it gets better. Insane Santa Ana winds looking likely tomorrow night and Wednesday. Kincade wildfire is only 10% contained too. Hopefully some progress will be made today as the winds subside a bit.
A new fire broke out this morning in the Sherman Oaks part of LA. Lot of mansions in that area.

Brightening up a little, up to 53F in downtown Greenfield. Might end up a decent day.

Wet Halloweenie incoming
Yeah bummer. My boy is 8 and this will be the first Halloween cancel I recall so we were due.

Heaviest of the rain is N & W of here. That sort of fits the theme of what we have experienced here since August.

We get it though, priorities change when you marry and have kids...for the majority of men at least (some think they can still bar hop with their buddies - those don’t last long). So, if you’re going to do ‘you’, do as much as you can when your single. But...men who think they can’t do what they want when married with kids are choosing the wrong women or they don’t properly communicate their needs when they have the right one. You shouldn’t get in a relationship if you think it’s a death sentence. If I told my wife I’m going out west to chase an el nino week of snows in the Sierras, we would make it work...if it was THAT important to me. I dunno, maybe I got lucky with mine and I’m just being too optimistic for our species.
You just need to be honest with your partner about what your individual needs are and sort it out rationally from there.
Also have hobbies that aren’t necessarily weather related...

People are so paranoid about ticks but vigilance goes a long way. Lyme disease might fuk up your program for a bit but EEE can done kill yo’ ass!
Tick prevention we go all natural. If there are documented EEE concerns in our area we roll DEET style.

^^^. Heh, there are a lot of symptoms of a lot of things that are similar. Headache, bodyache and or combined with fever is when you definitely go to the doctor, and press hard for tests or see a new doctor, if you don't like the current doctor's answers.
I've done this drill, when you think you may have been stung and or bit by an insect and don't feel well it's time to act.

I dunno' it looks like the flow could flatten a bit in the LR and SNE rides the warm side of the line and that is fine for this time of year.

That’s crazy if you’ve only had around 2” this month!
Just north of you there are 60+ CoCoRAHS stations in VT with >4.0” this month and 14 stations with >6.0”.
Its been a wet month overall in VT.
About 2.25” to be precise.
A lot of the heavier rains scooted N or E of us.

Nice to have a wet month in the books. Over 4" here. Triple what I had in September.
Only half of that here.

Gorgeous morning, almost completely cleared out now and already up to 54°.
