    This feels like March '17 all over. Quick snow thump while we watch the sleet line race across the Sound and know our joy will soon crumble.

    Amazing, a few days ago this thing was correcting north from the MA and I thought we were golden for a classic all-snow event in SNE. Now it's "congrats Dendrite" and another sloppy mess. Shoulda known.

    I would say post 2016 for me things started to blur. Almost crystal clear recollections of all the big 'uns prior to that.

    A fairly ordinary storm? Down here, 10-16” has been around our seasonal total for like 3 of the last six years. This is phenomenal!

    Alas, I was in Boston for that one. Great storm there too, but nothing like my folks in Hamden got.

    I'm stoked for this, but it's a trifle disappointing that even with a fantastic antecedent airmass we still can't seem to escape taint down here. It's been ages since we've had a bona fide major that stayed snow start to finish.

    I tell you what I particularly like about this one at the moment. It looks like the snow starts in the morning. Feels like it’s been forever since we’ve had a big one do that. I remember the ‘96 blizzard was like that and it just made it all the more special.

    Pretty sure it didn’t latch onto Feb ‘13 until the day of the storm.

    You know, I made a facetious remark in the fall that our winters have been terrible since the Patriots started sucking. Maybe there’s more of a correlation than I first surmised lol
