    Silver lining this year would be that I could sit outside with my grandma. Can't see her otherwise.

    Moon angle is an often overlooked aspect of snowfall forecasting. And let's not forget Andromeda while we're at it!

    They see what James sees. This will be a sub 900mb monster as it detonates over the Gulf Stream and floods the Cape with a 20 foot surge. Blinding snow on the Common will mingle with deadly flying glass from the Pru as the dawn awakens tomorrow.

    Feel better! Found out yesterday three of my neighbors are recovering from it. One was in the ICU for a week, one had mild pneumonia and one basically had a bad cold. Weird disease.

    Little known fact: Pornhub had to tweak their search algorithm because people searching for "kuchie" were getting bombarded with New England snow maps. They moved it into the fetish category.

    That's closer to what I'd been hoping for with this setup. Had a hard time believing it could tuck in so much.

    For sure. It was so bad in southern RI that I initially thought it was some weird artifact of the radar, like a malfunction of some kind.

    Maybe 4Seasons has maps? I think the valley downsloped in March '13; not sure about the hills (was in Boston then). Obviously Feb '13 was epic in these parts, but I think WCT still stacked up a solid 15-20"

    There were spots Bouchard was saying would get a slushy inch followed by rain that put up 2 feet.

    Nothing like RI. Man, that's brutal.

    I think Ryan had a good melt from that storm.

    Yep, it happens. More recently I got unlucky in March '18. We were forecast to rake in well over a foot and wound up with three inches while folks just to my west got a foot and eastern CT was racking up 2 feet and change. I'm always on guard for the exhaust adjacent the best fronto. What goes up must come down. December 2003 is another good example, but thankfully I wasn't in CT for that one.

    That storm was awful for much of CT. Radar wound up shredded and the snow was like baking powder. Super dense and didn't add up to much. The wind was awesome though.

    GFS puked all over itself. Some things never change.
