On a different note. Regarding today. What happened? 4 or 5 days ago, forecast highs here were supposed to be 55-60. It's 37.6F

When we have a cold, or slightly colder winter like we are having. I go through 150 gallons of oil per month. Currently: Mostly cloudy. 18.9

Went out onto the lake later this afternoon to see the guys and drink a couple beers once the wind died. 6-7" of clear hard ice. 2 fires going along the shoreline to warm up. It was nice. Young bucks playing hockey on the rink they been clearing snow off for a few weeks. Mostly pickerel caught. But a few yellow perch, which are the best to eat when caught through the ice. The pickerel were scattered around on the ice for the Bald eagles.

Great start to winter here. It's been quite a few years since the lake ice has been thick enough to play hockey and ice fish 2 weeks before Christmas. 19" of snow so far, with maybe another 1/2" tonight. The upcoming January thaw should only last 3-4 days as forecasted. Low to mid 40's. Then getting colder again. I'm actually looking forward to it, because it's been stupid cold with the never ending wind.

I don't know? I'm not a meteorologist, and don't make forecasts . Especially for areas where I don't live. But. I hope you guys down below do get some.

From EPAWA Sussex: Scattered snow showers begins around 10pm ending 5am Sunday, can leave a fresh coating of snow, but less than an inch.

My son just used the leaf blower to clear driveway, steps, and walk at my parents down in Hackensack.

Best bet is to get ice and snow shield covering. 3-6' feet up from your gutters. Also. A ridge vent does wonders.

No freezing rain ever. There's nothing worse. Whoever wishes for it. Never actually lived through an ice storm.
