    I'm always "Johnny positive" about snow lol. I just don't see how we get good accumulations with temps above 32° even after dark. Snow depth shows a couple inches total. I want to be wrong more than anything.

    If they are talking about accumulations the only way that's gonna happen for anybody south of Stafford County Virginia as if we get incredible rates after dark. And the temperatures have to drop to at least 31° or 32° during those incredible rates. Other than that it's white rain and milk toast

    Some of our higher totals on the models -GFS mainly-are only showing about 1/4 of those 10:1 or Kuchera totals on "snow depth", which no one ever shows on the maps on any thread lol, but really is the only thing that matters. For good accumulations, we need this thing to not get going until after like 2-3pm and THEN go 12 hours with good rates for several hours or at least a few hours.

    This is ON THE MONEY! (sorry haha) Any snow during daytime hours at 34-37° will be "white rain" in RVA, south and east. Winds could be interesting tho, and if wet snow gathers on trees and power lines it will be an issue.

    The problem is that's a worse model than GFS especially at this range lol once it gets inside three hours it's terrific

    Here's a fun game for people who are bored on here. Go on the main storm thread and count all the different ways people are saying the GFS is wrong. Do people not read other comments or do they just post their own thing like it's original? It's almost like when people say what the definition of insanity is like it's the first time it's ever been said. Lol!

    You're right -just messin. Not sure when the cuts happened but if you remember last year right around this date it might've been the day before today as we were heading towards possible snow, the GFS was always two or three cycles behind the Euro. And then it would line up. This is longer than that right now.

    The problem is though the GFS has been this way for several years now. Including when President Biden was in office. So maybe it still has some residuals, just can't seem to find its way, and wants to make things out to be better than they really are. It's fine though bc AI models are the "auto pen". ;-)
