  1. Friends and relatives live in Hampstead that seems very high....
  2. Let me rephrase...The Pope had the BEST take on what was in store for winter from November on...
  3. You had a good "take" on the winter from November on.
  4. You're the one that has expressed frustration with the winter. I had very low expectations for the winter....no frustration at my end. I long ago accepted/knew that it wasn't going to be all that good of a winter.
  5. ...the fact is the warmth in November was a harbinger of things to come...and the warmth was downplayed by some individuals
  6. The "heat" during the first part of November was a harbinger of things to come... but the "heat" was downplayed by some individuals because it did not fit their narrative for winter 22-23....it has been a non winter. F- grade for the winter
  7. Some schools in CT had classes on Saturday.
  8. Blizzard of 78 I was in college....classes got dismissed at 1 PM....next 4 days classes were cancelled. That was the only time classes were cancelled during my college years all 17 of them......as one prof said(paraphrasing) "we are preparing you for the workforce and that includes driving to work in snowstorms"....
  9. I think there were only 5-6 snow days my last 6 years of school...
  10. a terrible winter by any definition..
  11. Teams should prevent their players from participating in a meaningless tournament..
  12. Winter 22-23 did find the hole BUT it was a blackhole...
  13. at least you can look forward to more World Baseball Classic games...
  14. If the football coaches get their way spring sports will begin in mid to late april....meaning practices....they have concocted a proposal that would hurt winter and spring sports but they do not care. MIAA football committee continues to tackle new playoff proposal, with communication the key step (msn.com) 2023_mhsfca_playoff_modifications_9-27-2022_final.pdf
  15. Won't move because the chute is filled with snow??....if that is the case try using a non stick spray on the chute.
  16. Lost slightly more than an inch of precip to rain. Then once it changed to snow it took an hour or so to begin to accumulate due to the warm/wet ground
  17. Same here .....the only "real" accumulation overnight wasn't on paved surfaves..Driveway and road had a thin slushy coating.
  18. I said yesterday that it was a run of the mill spring storm in the methuen area.
  19. There is very likely a lot of variability from north to south and east to west in many towns/cities. The far NW part of Methuen likely had more snow than the eastside of town.
  20. The map seems very reasonable to me...some parts of haverhill have 6-7 inches while other parts of Haverhill have 3-4 inches.
