  1. Anything mowed outside of shaded/irrigated areas is pretty well browned out at this point. Looks like an August dry spell at minimum. Corn and beans are pitiful - furling up and looking thin. The fields are still green overall but not a deep green and instead starting to get a bit of a yellowish tint. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  4. I agree on the legislative outreach. On that front, as much as reason or prior experience might be cause for pessimism, we need to communicate with our legislators right off the bat. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  6. Same. Thursday ride from Wetmore to Paradise yielded 250 miles. Rode on pavement and gravel for blocks in Newberry to fuel up. Returned further north via Grand Marqis. Other than Newberry, 80% of that ride was just fine for what they were dealing with. Rode through Marquette on Saturday. Group was laughing as we did a few football fields worth of grass and cooked the hyfax right along the lakefront. Had some overheating issues too - will need to add ice scratchers next time if conditions are ever the same. Still had some beautiful scenery. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  7. I hear ya Beav. Even the UP is clinging. We are planning to head up Wednesday for one last hurrah. From this morning's Alger County/Munising trail report, " . . . it almost feels like season end conditions a few weeks early." https://www.algersorva.com/snowmobile-trail-report/ Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  10. Sounds good over there! Looking for that here as well. Either way it is shaping up to be another great day on the sleds. What a hell of a stretch. Other than the brutal cold, I have no reason to complain. In some ways we probably needed that to avoid any true threats to the snow pack. I'd be just fine to keep it going. I ran about 85 miles outside in January. Mostly out on local park trails in/on the snow. February started a bit slower/more indoors, but man what a great run it has been. 18. Looks good. The warmer temps yesterday helped to compact and densify that Tuesday dumper. Still has a little give to it under the boot and lost a bit of it too, but its still all gravy over the original pack building the past three plus weeks now. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  19. Scored a quick 4" tonight. Ended up out on the sleds just after darkness fell with flurries in the wake of the initial light snow band. Did a quick zip up to Hebron and back, not aware of the heavy snow incoming. Got absolutely slammed the last few miles. Lost the horizon in all directions and had to take it slow but close to home so it was a blast. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
