  3. This was around dusk today. Streetlight, magic hour and thick fog came together to make it look like a clear day shot. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  10. Legit ZR plus traffic plus the half inch of snow combined with that not quite enough there to send the plows out earlier has created a suitable mess of the roadways. Similar icy drippage from the power lines as well. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  11. Freezing rain for the last hour. Managed about half an inch of snow before that. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  12. Phone died out at the park but after a few flurries at start, flipped to about 30 minutes of sleet and freezing rain. Then to snow. Solid dusting on the untreated paved surfaces. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  14. Hoarfrost all over. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  15. Well, hoping to overperform the apparent lack of expectations and tag a legit 2-4" snow event today. Was hoping the outlook would at least lead to an SWS here on the LOT northern tier. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  16. I think that explains it. About halfway southeast driving down to Crystal Lake yesterday there was a noticeable difference in ice. Like the icicles all along the bottom edge of street signs started showing up, along with noticeable glazing on the trees and shrubs. That icing zone sounds like it tapered off further toward Cary. Looks like another corridor wild card event tomorrow. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  17. How 'bout the sleet? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  18. Sleet and a few flakes in downtown Woodstock. Drove about five miles up, vicinity 10C and we are all fat flakes with about 5 inches down and looking great. 27 F on the truck temp. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  19. Now 6-12" in the P&C far NW McHenry County. Good to see double digits in play. Spare flurry or two in Woodstock. First band on our doorstep. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  20. Life on easy street. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  21. I'll get the yardstick out on the deck. But going by "official" there is always a somewhat heavier obs report out of Bull Valley that seems to often take the local microclimate cake. We'll see if they are back in action this winter. I'll say even 8. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  22. Right on. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  23. And the 5-10" highmark in extreme NW on the UP line approaching the state line. Should be a dandy to unfold in real time. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  24. Nice little mini upgrade from Advisory to Warning for McHenry, Lee, DeKalb. Lay it down. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  25. Lock that RAP in. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
