  1. I went 22/18/21 I think, so I'm rooting against myself for a hit up there lol.
  2. Yep, and 0.6 so far this! And I feel lucky, just south was even worse, Blacksburg did 3.5 and Roanoke 4.1 for last year.

  4. You know, I'm not the smartest person in this thread weather-wise, so someone explain to me how I (and anyone S to SW) of the 540 line running from Dover to Martinsburg to Pittsburgh is shown as all snow with that low placement in north-central WV and a non-dominating high over the northeast to keep CAD going? I know 540 isn't everything, but it is something. I won't complain if it happens, just don't understand what it is seeing.
  5. Blacksburg hiked up warnings about 60 minutes ago
  6. Appears the 'claw' (or jaws) has returned, just turned slightly E-W
  7. What became of the line thru here earlier- SNOW SQUALL WARNING NWS BLACKSBURG VA 227 PM EST FRI JAN 3 2025 VAC021-063-067-121-155-161-197-750-032015- /O.NEW.KRNK.SQ.W.0001.250103T1927Z-250103T2015Z/ 227 PM EST FRI JAN 3 2025 Bland County-Floyd County-Franklin County-Montgomery County-Pulaski County-Roanoke County-Wythe County-City of Radford County- The National Weather Service in BLACKSBURG has issued a * Snow Squall Warning for... 8. Clearing up, a quick measurement on the deck was .4 inch.
  9. Pouring again! Not sure if it was a tree thud off in the distance from the wind or maybe a rumble of thunder??
  10. And just like that, sun pops back out in the breaks with a few flurries. Was interesting for about 10-12 minutes at least.
  11. Snow with some graupel mixed in, started about 10 minutes ago. 34.8/26.2, let's see if we can whiten up the ground...
  12. I'd like a little bit more to the south if it is gonna try to amp more (it has 'southed' a bit) but approve.
  13. The I-66 corridor and north had those, from CHO south? Not so much.
  14. You know, all in all THIS (the snideness and bickering over IMBY analysis) is SO much better than the previous 2 years. Someone is gonna get a great snow, MOST are gonna see the first decent snow in years and some are gonna get some ice. But at least there is SOMETHING to discuss and watch, with maybe more ahead.
  15. I'm still a day out, models this set of runs have jackpot running from PA/MD line down to south-central VA. Some models do things better than others, we shall know better tomorrow. It is a fun and frustrating game, as always lol.
  16. I'll have to go record check, but the year we got 7 inches of pure sleet was ridiculous.
  17. Looks like 36.4 will be the high today. Down to 33.0/16.7 currently at 5:30.
  18. A VERY small fall-off for the extreme north (but more area covered) and a minuscule increase in the far south. 99% noise.
  19. Currently a degree colder (37.2/25.3) at 12:30 pm than at the 7 am CoCoRaHS report (38.2/29.5) with a NW wind at 11 gusting 24, feels like winter has returned.
  20. So last couple model runs have majority of sub-forum in a 3-8+ range. I like.
  21. That is true for everyone. A north or south shift making some happy and some sad. Snow IS a IMBY thing.
