Yes, there is a HUGE block on Blacksburg's radar to the north, going thru Botetrout, eastern Alleghany and Bath counties. When a W to E light rain or snow event happens you can watch the echo's go thru, disappear, then reappear lol
Heading into a dry slot, snow has really cut back in last 10 minutes and radar looks dry from the direction all this has come from. So, a break here for a bit, will be interesting to see what falls once radar fills back in. Still chilly at 25.3/23.7. another 1/2 on the board and 3.5 OTG
Not sure what that would have looked like here this afternoon, but I can say it took about an hour before the virga passing overhead made it to the ground.
Had about a 10 minute period of snizzle when dbz on radar dropped to 10-15, but back to snow (almost+) now that 20-30 range has moved back in. Currently 24.9/22.4. Just cleared the snow board as it was just a tick over 6 hours since it has started at 2:30 pm, 3.0 on the money.
Snowing here, roads are covered that are not treated. DC? Is he traveling 95 south to 85 now? THAT would be a much better chance of missing most of this.
That would be awesome, but I sorta doubt it will. I'll most certainly go sleet at some point, if not freezing rain. Just a little too far south for this one, still thinking we get 4-6 before the mess arrives.
