  1. As I said last night, I'll take my 2" and like it, but it looks like I'll be waving at LES to my west and the system snow to my east as they pass by.
  2. Thanks. You should be able to pick up a quick inch or so Monday morning. The NAM shows a couple of hours of 355° or even due north wind. The 3km depicts a band overhead of your back yard for quite awhile.
  3. I'm about 25 miles southwest FWA. Over Allen County, the Euro is spitting out 3-5, west to east, while down here it is giving us a couple of inches. The GFS is even more putrid, barely spitting out an inch. I'm not complaining because any snow is good, just so close to more accumulation. I was hoping for a last minute correction west, but don't think it's going to happen. Looks like too a late phase and late fujiwhara.
  4. I'm caught in no man's land. Just a little too far west of the synoptic good stuff and too far east for the impressive LES band. Although I'm not dispirited because we will still get some snow and I would only need a 20-30 mile west shift of synoptic snow (at least per the Euro) to get a significant snow.
  5. I'm not sure if the northern stream wave was fully sampled for the 12z run. But it should increase confidence in the outcome.
  6. Yo!! Anyone awake over here in Ohio? Or are you all just quarantining?
  7. I can't say that I've ever seen a temperature forecast map like that.
  8. NWS offices are very strict in meeting the criteria for issuing a blizzard warning. I feel that is a good thing, unlike their Special Weather Statements, which they throw out like candy during a parade.
  9. If that fetch plays out, you'll get in on the good stuff. It's been a few years since I've seen streamers all the way to CVG. I remember some LES from Lake Michigan hitting DAY a couple of years ago.
  10. It's not normal yet. Buckeye hasn't made an appearance.
  11. I found out a long time ago that pulling back on the reins usually doesn't work once wagons head west. Chicagoland's gonna lasso another one. Seriously, don't get too excited down in Indy yet, but Hoosier's right, there's a chance. In the meantime, you might get to enjoy some boomers tomorrow.
  12. The Euro has the surface low doing the sit-n-spin over the Great Lakes for over 48 hrs. lol
  13. Ohio posters are kind of jaded, as they've had Lucy jerk the ball back too many times to be excited.
  14. The grass still has a coating of sleet from early this morning. It then switched to light rain for most of the morning and I finally got to see some flakes as it flipped around noon before the tap turned off.
  15. "The company (Regeneron) said it expects to have does of REGEN-COV2 treatment ready for about 80,000 patients by the end of this month, about 200,000 patients by the first week of January and approximately 300,000 patients in total by the end of January." Also: "The FDA said the antibodies are not authorized for patients who are hospitalized due to COVID-19 or require oxygen therapy due to COVID-19." https://www.newsnationnow.com/health/coronavirus/vaccine/fda-grants-emergency-use-authorization-to-regeneron-covid-19-antibody-given-to-trump/ So the treatment is for patients who are positive and a high risk for developing severe symptoms or have a high viral load.
  16. My first measurable snowfall of the winter is 0.3" of sleet. It must be 2020.
  17. This economy vs. health has been debated ad nauseam. No one here is going to change anyone else's mind. A lockdown will be the death knell for thousands of businesses, since there is no government support. It would also drive millions into bankruptcy. The problem that with nothing being done other than "mandates" and a vaccine being several months away, many of these businesses will go under anyway, as customer traffic will be reduced due to people not venturing out with the threat of infection. As these businesses close, unemployment will once again increase. So, until Congress gets off of their duffs and passes some financial assistance legislation, we will be stuck with the choice of a slow agonizing spiral into depression or a quick economic dagger. As I see it, those are our choices for now.
  18. I don't know where you moved from, but if you're near I -70 and hoping for a parade of storms.... Only half kidding. Welcome to the subforum and around here is the land of the rain/snow line.
  19. C'mon guys. Knock it off. The field hospital thing was mismanaged AND NYC hospitals were overwhelmed, which I believe was the original point being made.
  20. Then there's the NAM with a 6" bullseye right over my house.
  21. IWX is liking a stripe of up to 2" across Northern IN early Sunday. I could see my first accumulating snow of the season.
  22. Wow, I left for a few hours and come back to this s**t show. While all of you are busy bickering, name-calling, and pointing fingers, I got a call from an official today asking how many body bags I can get my hands on.
  23. If it stays consistent for a couple more runs, I'll bite.
