central park reported  winds are always the lowest in the nyc area....

had to turn on the ac today....

i don't expect cold weather in october....but it has been cold enough to wear winter coats quite a few times this month....

enjoyed having the heat on last night....

this weather will put a end to the bug issues....

of course you had winds sustained at 165 mph it had to be a cat 5...

i am so ready for fall.. i am  tired of warm sunshine into mid october already....

Huge snowstorm north and NE of NYC

NW Jersey and Northern  Westchester had 3 inches while further North way over a foot.

I remember just 30 to 40 miles up the thruway from NYC it was snowing as I was in it. WCBS AM also reported a sleet pellet in Hicksville NY

i remember that storm it  happened on the last day of the regular season in baseball.. nyc got down into the upper 30.s

ike  was bigger sandy was much bigger then florence.. sandy was the largest tropical cyclone in the atlantic...

There was not a single snowstorm over 10 inches in NYC between 1983 and 1993 which is absurd. Couple that with almost all the 90s sucking and other systems that may have occured on days off or weekends and it's not hard to understand why there was never any days off back then. 

you forgot the blizzard of 1983 over 17 inches fell in central park....

their been plenty of examples of heavy snow where the temps were under 25 degrees.. the 1996 blizzard even the 2010 christmas blizzard temps were around that mid 20's
