I don’t think I’ve had this much snow otg in the 5 years I’ve lived in this house. I’ve had one slightly larger storm but no way this much snow 2 days later....
Could be a fun winter. Squirrels were fat too.
I don’t think the duration of the potential torch is enough to melt the current pack. There’s enough water so that post frontal it should be intact. And keep in mind I’m not a snowpack guy so no positive bias here.
When you have a big December dump there’s always a pattern flattening. Think 1960, 1975, 2010. A ton of winter is left and I’ll be really surprised if the big 4 are not above normal snow wise once winter is over.
It’s a practicality. I’m not going to try to shovel over a foot manually in my mid 70s. But multiple times make it less stressful on my body and overall more exercise.
BOS 12.9 as of 1PM. May go over 13 with the light snow of the afternoon.
Final shoveling done and measurement taken: 14.1 is my final and im quite pleased.
Still accumulating in light snow. Need to go out AGAIN to shovel but probably not until it actually stops snowing. Very satisfying storm but I wish I went to bed later to catch the WCB but I caught some of it as I drifted off. Snow at 4AM was dammed strong. Other issue is Tim long-would have liked day into evening. But I also realize I’m fine shoveling manually and thankful I can. What better way to be out in the snow?
Nah not you! It’s just that I’ve seen gfs do this for every major event. When the euro locks in a week long it and doesn’t waver much, it’s usually right.
