  1. 1957-12/5 had close to a foot 1958-around 12/8 5 inches 1960 as mentioned-18-20 inches That’s a good run in my formative years.
  2. 1998-99 was ridiculously warm until late December. 1999-00 had not a trace of snow at BOS until mid January. 2007-08 was warm but a snowy December. I don’t consider snowy December’s early. Growing up in NNJ, it seems we always had a good snow in the first half of December.
  3. Nice! I can be there in 4-5 hours although probably add an hour for lower speeds on winding 2 lane roads..
  4. Winds have calmed down but first day I needed almost winter coat as most with temperatures in the mid 40s mid day.
  5. To top it off mom threw them all out when I was a teenager one time when she was getting rid of attic junk. Wish I had them-they included a Topps Hank Aaron among others.
  6. That’s literally what my mother was yelling to me as I got on my bike with old baseball cards in the spokes immediately after Hurricane Hazel calmed down.
  7. Lost power and thankfully it returned after 3 hours. Based on my Eversource text log the last time was 9/21/19.
  8. Yeah I just took the dog out and it’s windy but not something that doesn’t happen wind wise several times per year.
  9. Heard a limb slam against the house. Looks like we chainsaw Thursday and Friday.
  10. 50 mph gust at Logan seem a dime a dozen of late…
  11. But from such a low elevation? Regarding inversion-I think it exists in cyclonic flow situations and capped high pressure but then wouldn’t heavy rain tend to break it?
  12. But if you see very windy conditions right off the deck wouldn’t heavy rain have a better chance of mixing that down?
  13. You need to be in the heavy rain to facilitate mixing I think.
  14. To be fair that was a one time bomb in a sea of warm and dry. It feels different this time.
  15. Got in a 90 minute hike through Allendale Woods and to and from home. Winds are picking up in fits and starts but it’s becoming threatening. Happy to walk in a relative radar hole before it fills in and limbs start falling.
  16. I’m looking up and clouds probably 950 up are screaming from the NE
  17. Ensembles are consistent with some dateline ridging. We’ll need some amplitude as we got towards legit winter if that’s a pattern.
  18. KBOS reporting 20 mph sustained. I’m inland 9 miles and it’s pretty calm still
  19. He does need snow though. Who doesn’t? Got a little walk window in. Depending on radar after exercising and breakfast may try one more. Pretty mild outside and winds are still fairly light.
