Hopefully after 12/12. We're returning from ORD around 11pm on that date.

One of my favorite storms as a 14 year old! Heavy snow and 10 degrees. Kicked off an amazing winter.

The big changes in all the op models came with last night's 0Z runs. Now it's almost within a week. Here we go!

Watching the GEFS roll in (now out through 288) it is a big step towards the 12Z EPS. Almost identical or at least very close. 0Z has not disappointed so far. CMC op is similar to GFS OP and GEPS looks good as well. I will go to sleep before EPS tonight.

Pacific reshuffling I think. Block hangs on but where the pacific goes is key.

George, most of the particulates and sulfur stayed below the surface of the sea per what I can ascertain. That's the one thing preventing this event from having a major cooling effect. In fact, the water vapor that was released to the atmosphere is forecast to create warming per the earlier discussion a few pages back.

As I watch the GEFS roll in it occurs to me that it's trying to form a 3 wave NHEM pattern. I believe those are very stable so it can be quite a ride. Now it's kind of a 3 and 1/2 wave pattern in the 10-15 day prog. Fun times could be ahead.
