  1. 2pm temps mid 40s, except Newark at 48. 45 at my house. I would think even the city may be 32 or 33 tonight.
  2. You want snow, Anchorage has plenty. As of Thursday 21 inches on the ground.
  3. With the UHI so strong in NYC, it seems they sometimes get their first snow before or around the same time as the first freeze.
  4. Water temps has something to do with the number of storms and so does the fact they are much more liberal in what they name as storms.

  6. Yea the longer range model forecasts seem to be getting colder. I don't put to much in forecasts some 10-15 days out. Things change a lot.
  7. 65 here yesterday. Maybe a shot at 70 for some tomorrow before back to November temps.

  9. Surprised about Westhampton, they usually drop huge with radiational cooling. Maybe there were lots of clouds. A little surprised about Teterboro also.
  10. Interesting how the average annual snowfall is higher now than around 1900 (like here) do to the higher amount of yearly precipitation. Of course if the temps keep rising that will eventually bring snow fall rates down.

  17. Many freezing and below temps in Nassau this morning. 29.2 here.
  18. I wonder if tomorrow night, with no wind, may be a frostier, chillier night for some.
  19. Yea eastern Nassau less urbanized than western. Southwest Nassau most urbanized.
