Looks like our region is back to being a professional cloud magnet.  We'll see how much in the way of debris clouds makes their way across the mountains.

The rain puts a damper on my biking, but I can fit in hoops around mild temps and rain.  What I don't want is 40s/low 50s and wind.  I've graduated from that.  The main thing we need to be weary of are those lumbering upper level lows through the GL and northeast.  That's a recipe for cloudy/cool/breezy.

It wants to be cloudy so badly, but so far it's been a pretty nice start to the day.  Looks like we're in and out of sun for the remainder of the day, but that's an improvement over the "tropical remnants" type of a pattern we had all week.

40s, howling wind, and drizzle. This really does suck. Been weeks of this. Enough. 

Today is a classic day where areas closer to the mountains will probably more clouds than areas further east. I “chased” the sun into work today from Frederick to Columbia.

Just heard thunder. Active weather week for early April.

Drove through that line from Columbia. Ran into some hail on 32. I’m looking forward to our weather pattern shifting to one that involves sun.

Looks like this thing is racing east. Might be all she wrote for any flooding or severe issues today.

Holy crap! Whole house just shook from this storm. Woke Mr. J up and the cat jumped off the bed. 

Strong precip day in Frederick…around 1.5” in nearby pws gauges.

Chunky raindrops with this latest round.

Getting some decent thunder and lightning over here this morning. 

It actually got nice out lol. Light wind, humid…some breaks in the clouds…prime hoops weather.

2.54 " March total rainfall. This is only 72% of normal.
A rather remarkable statistic:   8 of the past 8 Marches have been drier than normal in my area. 100% dry in March during the past 8 years!!
7 of the past 8 winters have had below normal snowfall.
87% of the time during the past 8 years, low winter snowfall precedes a dry March west of the Blue Ridge.
The last wet March was 2015. During the winter of 14/15 I had above normal snowfall.
Before that, March of 2014 was wet. I also had above normal snowfall for the 13/14 winter!!!!!!!!!!!!
