You're good. We do fine with stratiform rain events, but thunderstorms are orographically blocked here and they are very rare, maybe 2 or 3 per summer. I expect less than a half inch for the whole week
lol nice

Is it supposed to rain/storm tomorrow? Morning news forecast had a low chance for tomorrow
Precip output looks aggressive on some of the models, though generally to the east for now.

Just missed and the line consolidated to my east. Hope I have better luck the rest of the week. I'll need to water the garden this evening
I don't want too much rain there...Little Bennett and Schaeffer are still in my trail rotation.

Ok, definitely just had one of the closest lightning strikes since I moved here. That one had to have been within a mile radius, tops.

Direct center of the severe storm coming in here. Huge lightning strike just sent the cats running!
I can hear it lol. Getting a good soaker here, though.

Torrential Tuesday rain again this week.....
The meat of this batch looks like it’ll slide towards moco. They might get rocked. -
This next batch doesn’t appear to be a fizzler. It continues to want to rain here.
-
The first splotch fizzed on approach...let's see what the next cell does. Juicy pattern overall.

We’re finally having a proper summer, and it’s kind of awesome.

The weather has been spectacular lately. Got some trail riding in at the ‘shed and Schaeffer in the last couple days. Fairly dry, but enough dry mud (and just plain mud) spots to remind you that we’re having a classic DMV summer.

Another soaker here. Helluva pattern change the last couple months from the Great Plains pattern we were in the last 2 years.

This is truly a 180 summer from the last 2 years. Classic, mid-Atlantic swamp stuff.

I’m at the top of the Watershed. Drove up here after some hoops. About to get rocked.

Are the Orioles en route to one of the great comebacks in mlb history?

Hints of sun here. I’m hyped.

Grade A heat wave with vitamin loaded humidity levels appears to be on its last leg. I still got my outdoor activities in, but definitely in smaller doses. Today felt spicy in the sun…no storms around here, though I have seen some “heat lightning”.

@87storms Was that you who wished for Summer to get here and didn't enjoy the cool last month? If so, here ya go! Lol
That would probably be me lol. It's been spicy the last couple days, but I still prefer this over 45 and cloudy (in doses). But yea, this is at minimum a Tier 2 heat wave...the humidity has seemingly included every nearby body of water.

The odds of having no hits through 8 innings is probably 1/450 by itself. Those other variables included, it's probably a 1/2000 type occurrence or something.
I did some of the math for fun. Not including all the extraneous variables and keeping it simple (assuming independence, etc.), the odds of the Astros getting a no hitter through 7 innings alone (which is I think what happened) is the product of the probabilities of each of their pitchers involved getting an out raised to the number of outs each of them pitched. Looks like there were 6 Astros pitchers involved since the 3rd inning and 21 outs, so searching their career IP and H stats (which obviously includes stats from that game to now) the probability that they would combine to get a no hitter through 7 innings would be roughly 0.2%. Or something like that.

Wow this line coming in! The wind is wild
This might drop an inch of rain in spots. -
One of the cooler looking storms I’ve seen here. You guys further east might enjoy this line.
-
Very windy storm moving in.
Got a decent looking shelf cloud rolling in here -
The legendary precip comeback continues with another round incoming. I don't think I've seen a patch of brown on any grass around this area since May.

Mostly light rain here, though there is some lightning involved. Congrats to those closer to 95...the models did a good job yesterday highlighting that area.
