  1. I would call this event an incoming cartopper, but it’s probably gonna be an all surface topper, which makes it more fun than just a cartopper.
  2. This would be very acceptable. I'm craving another snow stroll.
  3. Funny, my nephew lives in Charleston and said nothing yet and that it might be too warm lol. He's on the outskirts, so not sure if that matters.
  4. It’s another breakfast club event.
  5. Was just looking up ski lift prices at local resorts. Can’t believe how expensive it’s gotten. I haven’t skied in years, but damn…it’s like 100 a day just for the lift ticket.
  6. Jan '00 radar loop: https://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/current/mcview.phtml?prod=usrad&java=script&mode=archive&frames=60&interval=60&year=2000&month=1&day=24&hour=0&minute=0
  7. The snow came in like a wall off the Atlantic. May not see another fluke snow like that again.
  8. I'm craving more snow. An inch on top of ice and slush is underrated.
  9. There’s cold on our doorstep on the euro, that’s for sure. Looks like a little break next week before winter levels up again.
  10. I’ve seen worse vort passes here. This always felt like the type of system that could spruce up towards gametime.
  11. Walking south towards Columbia Mall for lunch was easier than walking north into the wind, I'll tell you that much.
  12. Regardless of whether it snows in the next week or two, local ponds/lakes are getting icy. I’m assuming creeks and rivers are gonna start getting icy as well. Snow on ice on water soon?
  13. The potential hecs pattern by the following weekend looks more interesting anyway.
  14. Yea, big league Santa Ana event ongoing.
  15. What’s interesting on the gfs is how similar it is to 3 days ago before the trough started going more neutral/negative.
  16. I feel like this next system could still make a sneaky shift north.
  17. Friday's squall'y day is underrated. I actually think that was more exciting weather-wise than yesterday lol, at least up here where I received about 0.5" after 8am.
  18. Probably already said here, but the Euro/GFS/CMC don't seem too far off with the southern stream. It's the northern piece that's squashing things. Not sure what would make that better aside from timing.
  19. Now that we have the cold, all we need is our year-round, every 4-5 days (on average) precip event.
  20. Can see the sharp cutoff of snow in far southern Va on satellite: https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/sector_band.php?sat=G16&sector=ne&band=GEOCOLOR&length=12
  21. lol, one of the great sports movies. I actually saw this in the theater. "Well you may run like Mays, but you hit like shit."
