62/62 - 1.54" since yesterday

after a high of 74 yesterday, another wet damp day today -- 0.68" for today - currently 62/62

25.5° for the low here - every one else is in the mid 30s surrounding my PWS (and wunderground is not showing it on the map- it think's it is incorrect). I'm in a valley so the temp really radiates well on clear calm nights.

They could have existed, and maybe human-induced climate changed has caused them to cease to exist..

a little temp bust today, was predicted to get to 65 but we are only 50 now .84" in the bucket today - mostly all after 1pm today

cracked 70° here. Making it the warmest December 2019 temp. Great, when that happens after the cold front has passed!

Low of 65 at midnight but temps rose to 68 by 5:30am. 67 now. Nice summer evening weather starting to clear to the west

1.23" so far, 33.8 - was down to 32.5 earlier. no signs of icing

The new GFS has is cold bias. We need to be in closer range before we know for sure.

Being from NY, i am enjoying the extended summer. I always felt (living up there) that summers were way too short. With that said, I am not enjoying this dry spell. 20th day in a row with no rain IMBY

It started I think in 2005. 2005 was an extreme warm September at least where I was in NY

My personal opinion is that there are forces at work from both sides of the coin. AGW doing it's thing on warming (3.7 w/m² for doubling of CO2) but the "sun" and "GSM" doing it's thing on trying to cool the planet (decrease TSI (very minor), cosmic rays and the relationship to cloud cover and rain and increased volcanic activity). Question is though, by how much? If there was no AGW warming at all, what would the average global temperature be at this point in time? On the flip side, whatever the issue is, we still have to shy away from fossil fuels. For the simple reasons of pollution and dependency. Even if AWG did not exist, fossil fuels will run out and that in itself would be catastrophic if we do not start our process of going to renewable energy sources now.

Greenland was very close to be entirely above freezing - wonder if that's ever happened before (in modern times)

I just moved down here from Suffolk County. I was there for the 11/15 event and am most prepared with all of the big snows NY has received over the past 10 years.

Professor Valentina Zharkova recently gave a presentation and suggested at the worst of the GSM, the forcing loss could be as low as - 8.0 W/m2.

December 1989 was just so phenomenally cold- I always think about how cold December 2010 was- but then I go look back at these records from 12/1989 GHCND_USW00004781_1989-12-1.pdf
