Oh I agree. Ill take a warm November to actually lead us into hopefully a pattern change in December and climatology speaking a better chance for wintery precipitation.

Looking at the pattern ahead and the teleconnections I think November is toast for the most part.

Potomac Montana had the coldest temp in the lower 48 this morning at negative 29.

Wind is starting to pick up here. Cold front will move in tonight. Going to be a fantastic leaf looking weekend then who knows. I think we go back to warm to cool, back to warm. Really this is pretty normal for this time of the year. Looks like we will be losing our blocking for a bit which is not good going forward.

Temp down to 35 this morning! This is more like it! The GFS and Euro are worlds apart on the pattern in the mid to long range. Im hedging towards the GFS currently. It has been steadier than the euro this Fall.

18z bringing in some upslope snows in about 10 days! This weekend we will bring the coldest temps of the season. Enjoy this week. It will be beautiful. Leaf season is looking spectacular.

Had a low of 35 this morning. I saw were Mt Mitchell had a low of 29 with a wind chill of 13. Tomorrow morning will be even colder for everyone.

I think after this weekend the color season will accelerate a lot. A good thing though.

Ended up bottoming out at 37 this morning. Man what a beautiful day. Temps in the 50s with clear skies.
