  1. Yeah, noticed that, perfect timing, plus that mountain that shadows the LWX radar to the SW is annoying!
  2. Now using the home field RADAR, if that area by Harrisonburg fills in, DC area might be in business for .5” coating FTW?!
  3. Hmmm, might just get clipped...coating is a high bar though
  4. So close to the .1 lightest of grays I can taste the disappointment, it’s very bitter!
  5. Looks dangerous, when do they issue the warnings?
  6. This should work right? What could possible go wrong?
  7. So did Baltimore get good snow? Just want to confirm DC is the new snow anus of the mid Atlantic
  8. It’s like the snow anus just got an enema. Still sprinkling, 39.
  9. That is the new snow anus of the mid Atlantic! Rain and 42, fun!
  10. 42/29. Patiently waiting for my sprinkles to commence.
  11. I’m looking forward to opening my pool! Hopefully late April.
  12. There is always next year...
  13. For DC metro, time to fold wave 1 and 2 and go all in for wave 3 on Saturday.
  14. LOL, I don’t think we have a choice at this point.
  15. Especially any model from Canada.
  16. Yea us. Maybe we can claim the snow anus title from Charm City!
  17. Yep, I think one of these coming waves can hopefully produce! I worked in Tysons at the time and had to take several coworkers home in my CRV which was a champ in snow.
  18. Gonna hug the Mar 9, 1999 example the @Deck Pic threw out yesterday. That was a surprise over-performer, similar setup. I think the models have set the goal posts between Richmond and Baltimore, other than that Radar watching time tomorrow evening.
  19. Come on Canada, please be right for once. So the 12z models thus far paint 0-12in somewhere between Fredericksburg to the Mason Dixon line. Good luck NWS on this forecast!
  20. I’d be down with that, we only do miserable cool, damp springs lately. Mid 70’s and sun starting Apr 1 would be awesome after our upcoming glaciation period.
  21. Yes, definite over-performer! Would take a redo in an instant!
  22. Also, the Gulf of Mexico seems to be open for business, low level winds blowing from the south into the system feeding moisture. That’s the whole magic with this system warm moist air from the south, the cold from the north = moisture and a steady long duration over running event. Notice there is no potent vort or shortwave for this system.
  23. Generally that only happens with lighter moisture starved systems, this system isn’t moisture starved. Plus the mountains aren’t like the Sierra’s and we aren’t like Nevada.
