North wind would be more for mexico/Fulton, NW more pulaski/I-81. Rgem has several inches so it would be nice to get some snow without relying on just a west wind..

Gfs just showed almost an inch of liquid for Syracuse with today system lol QPF means nothing.. Potential is there though, that's all that matters

Not really a bust..Nws nailed it at 3-5/3-6.. I'm sure some areas busted on either side.. Two nearest reporting stations reported 4.5"-5.5" respectively..On and off snow showers..

A weak sfc low near Erie, PA, at mid afternoon will track directly across the forecast area through this evening. Weak warm advection ahead of the system will shut off by late afternoon...so any mixed precipitation will change back to snow as we make our way from the through the evening. Given the lack of moisture in the dendritic growth zone...the pcpn for the remainder of the daylight hours over the western counties will be either freezing drizzle or light snow showers. Meanwhile, moderate to heavy snow will fall east of Lake Ontario. Later tonight...the weak storm system will slowly push to eastern New York and exit the coast. Colder air in its wake will lead to a little lake enhanced snow with most areas picking up an inch or so of new snow. Areas east of Lake Ontario will pick up as much as three more inches overnight. On Wednesday...northerly flow of cold moist air will upslope and maintain plenty of low clouds. A cap around 5kft though will limit lake snow accumulations

Still coming down pretty good here but the"main" band is finishing up.. Looks like we will escape any sort of lull..

Hmmm.. Going be interesting to see how this plays out.. Eventually this will start to head east and a decent amount of moisture over the lake.. You can start to see a "pivot" .. Ripping out right now..

Yeah hrrr is picking it up.. Dry slot moves in by late afternoon according to this model..

European was suppressed with next weekends system, obviously only 1 run but it's a possibility with strong HP near by..

Cutting it close with that dry slot on the HRRR..Still it's LR but a bunch of GEFS members had a similar scenario..
