An active pattern for the long term. Some snow showers will be
possible for Monday with an upper level trough over the Great Lakes,
but nothing too organized as of right now. An area of low pressure
will bring snow across the entire area on Tuesday and again possibly
on Thursday into Thursday night. Some guidance disagreement for
temps aloft, but light lake snow will be possible after each passing
area of low pressure with 850H temps of -12C or colder. As of right
now, the area of low pressure for Tuesday looks to bring the
potential for at least plowable snowfall amounts.
Temperatures remain below normal during this period, with the
coldest temperatures on Monday, with highs in the mid teens for the
higher terrain and in the low 20s for the lower elevations. The
warmest temperatures expected for Thursday with highs in the low to
mid 30s. otherwise temperatures mostly in the low to mid 20s for
daytime highs.
