    Can we go as an entire month with no measurable rain? Seems almost impossible for us but here we are. Lowest monthly precip I've ever recorded is 0.53".

    Yeah 1.26" here since 9/1. The looking ahead at the continued dryness is making it more impressive.

    We'll see how this next week turns out but I really cant recall such a dry pattern lasting this long, with so many nearby systems being blocked. It does seem rather unique.

    The driest month I've ever had in 43 years is 0.53" in Sept 2005... So far 0.09" this month.

    Hard to believe that with Francine hitting the gulf coast and moving northward, then a coastal storm hitting the Carolinas, followed by another storm now developing just offshore, that we would wind up with nada.
