Haven't measured but I must have picked up an additional inch in Germantown and it's still coming down. Let me at least get to 4" please.

Best snow of the entire event coming down in Germantown now. THIS is what I wanted. If this stuff can set up for the next several hours and pour in, that could save the whole thing.

It's finally snowing in Germantown! Its light, light snow. Nothing accumulating. But it's snow!

I'm getting some stray flakes every now and then but it's just constant freezing rain mainly here.

Lol. This is seriously getting on my nerves. I'm not getting another 5" in Germantown. I'm at 2". I have no idea how the models can be so bad. This model told me 18 hours from the event that I'd be getting 11" of snow. Throughout the event, it has continued to say "Oh don't worry, you're still gonna get 8 more. 6 more. 5 more." That it can be so wrong, even NOW, mid event, after all that's happened so far... it just blows my mind. Give me 2". Let me beat my December snow. Let me meet my minimum threshold for Capital Weather Gang's "bust" range (which I still haven't met yet, I'm only at 2" and they said it would be a bust at 4").

Back to Freezing rain and sleet in Germantown. Everything is a hard crust of ice.

Actually getting some snowflakes now in Germantown Just stray ones, nothing accumulating. Let's see if I can make enough snow to actually call this a "Bust" by Capital Weather Gang's forecast! I have 2" to go and then at least CWG can say they included my snowfall in their bust range.

Still sleeting in Germantown, and freezing rain. Actually getting some pretty neat ice accumulations on things. Still 2" of snow total for the storm though. Seriously wondering if December's storm will end up being better for me. I'd like to please at least reach the amount of snow for this to be called a Bust on Capital Weather Gang's forecast please! I haven't even reached their lowest "bust" total yet lol!

Sleetfest in Germantown, pretty significant amounts. So look... the snow totals in this storm, for me at least, suck. Like, I was excited for the Euro models, but then I was like "at least I'll be happy if I break double digits", then the CWG/LWX forecasts came out, and I revised to "at least I'll be happy if I break 6"". Now I'm still sitting at 2" which is under even the "bust" range for CWG. BUT. One thing I do like about this event is the non-stop winter precip for 2-3 days in a row. It keeps the winter storm feeling going for a long time. That's nice. It looks like a beautiful mess outside

Haaa. I'm honestly surprised people are still looking at models though even still for the next few hours. 18 hours ago, King Euro said I'd have 9" from this event. I'm sitting somewhere around 2 right now and highly doubting I pick up another 7.

What are you at? We are right by each other. I was at a solid 2" when I measured a couple hours ago.

Just measured and yup, I'm at 2" sharp. DCA is actually beating me in Germantown hahaha. Today was fun though. The snow is super fine, you can blow on it and it will blow away. It's pretty neat. The crystals themselves are like little fine needlepoints. it's pretty wild. Lots of sledding with the 5 year old. Snowman making was an absolute no go.

I find it hilarious that models are STILL, like 18 hours away, whiffing on how much snow we will get. Are Miller Bs that bad for us and they mess with models that hard?
