  1. It is a blizzard here in Candler now! Added at least a 1/2 inch in about 20 minutes.
  2. Visibility probably an 1/8th of mile. It is just a sheet of snow here in Candler.
  3. 6z GFS looks interesting for early next week. For now.
  4. I was up at 4:00 AM and there was nothing, By 6:30 AM, we had a good 2 to 3 inches. It just dumped on us. Great forecast Hunter!! You nailed this one for us.
  5. Dew point has dropped 6 degrees in the last hour at the airport.
  6. I hate the warm start, but the cold is supposed to get in here. Sooner rather than later I hope.
  7. Funny you post that Sn Lover. I was looking at Sierra at Tahoe and the summit has had 444 inches of snow this season. I am sure there are higher totals, but that is a big number.

  15. Lol. I said it. I should clarify. I am ready for spring if it is going to skip over my city and snow everywhere but here. If that be the case, come on spring. But, your point is still valid.
  16. How come North Dakota doesn't get too cold for snow....... Snow. Widespread blowing snow. Low around -9. Wind chill values as low as -35. Windy, with a north northwest wind 28 to 31 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible
  17. Too cold to snow here, just here, lol. Jim Cantore 1 hr · I’m sure it’s more often than I think, but how often do we see (outside the mountains) synoptic scale snow with below zero temps? Several observations from ND, SD, IA and MN have this. Obviously very high snow:liquid ratios
