Feeling really fortunate for that intense stretch of winter weather in mid January. Outside of that 13 day stretch we basically had no winter. Even though palmboy was a troll there's no doubt winter's are getting extremely wimpy, and apparently heading towards non-existent if trends continue.

New record high at MLI today with 67 degrees, DVN hit 66. Hit 63 here.
Spring fever in the air with towering cu building up and temps in the 60s.

A bank of low clouds and dense fog backed in from the east this morning and co ck blocked temps. Only 42 here vs 52 at MLI just 25 miles southwest. Luckily we have 60s coming for Thursday.

I forgot to ask the other day... Isn't president's day the 19th?
Ha I thought it was 12th. 12th is Lincoln's birthday, oops.

Not sure yet how the storm system next week pans out but I say we name the thread title the President's Day Pounder.

Clouds and/or showers will be the one thing that could hold us down a bit on Thursday.
Looking forward to some thunder Thu evening.
3 weeks ago today we only made -8 for a high with 15" of snow otg. Today it's 50 with no snowpack. What a turnaround.

Good shot at mid 60s here on Thursday. Just some scattered piles/drifts left at the moment, but even those will be gone by Tue or Wed. With the ground continuing to dry out the sky's the limit with temp potential.

The President's day system looks very thread-the-needle but is definitely the next system worth watching.

57 at MLI today. 76 degrees warmer than 11 days ago when they hit -19.

The omega block will be gone by this time next week. At least that's a step in the right direction at being able to get something meaningful to track. Would hope the pattern after that will allow for some storminess to return to the sub.

Tonight's GFS is snowless for all of us until Feb 15 or all 384 hours. Nice.
March will be rockin'

Several 50 degree days on the way over the next 10+ days. May even make a run at 60 here this Saturday. All of the snow will be gone by Thursday other than piles/drifts.

Aside from a 10 day period of BN temps these firmly AN stretches just dominate. Not sure where things go after mid February but until then things are uneventful and mild.
.I suspect Mar-May will be cool and rainy with persistent east winds in southeast Wisconsin.

Looks like a little cold rain tomorrow night and some flurries Fri morning. Other than that looks pretty quiet for next 10 days.
