Just noticed the tulip polpar has many black/shriveled leaves from the hard freeze. Most other trees aren't as far along so appear undamaged. The oaks are smart enough not to bust it out until the hard freeze threats are over.

31 here this morning.
Pretty chilly out there with temps hovering around 40 and gusty winds. Solid stratocu deck ain't helping either.

Steady rains most of the day totaled 0.52" here.

Yesterday was fun. I'm ready for some more backyard supercells.

Great soaker with 1.26". Had a nice round of marbles as well along with several pea bursts.
Up to 4.17" for April.

Guessing a sherrifnado was spotted nearby as the sirens are going off atm. Just dumping rain right now with occasional pea hail.

A few brief showers so far with a total of 0.03". Some pretty big cells heading towards this area in the next hour or two.

Some models are showing multiple broken bands of storms tomorrow simultaneously. May be a challenge for those who wish to chase this event. Would love to be out there tomorrow giving it a go, but alas I'll be at work lol.

We're at about 95% leaf out here in DFW at least. Some of the trees still have that early season yellow tint to them, and the pine trees (the ones that lose their leaves) still aren't in full bloom.
Once you get up to Texoma (outside of the Urban Heat Island), I'd say it's more like 75-80% leaf out.
I imagine the trees definitely have a mid-summer look down in Austin / San Antonio / Houston though.
Yeah we were down in Huntsville TX north of Houston. Glad we were there before the major heat set in lol

Was in MO, OK, and TX all last week. Looks like mid summer down in TX.
Up here it's greening up pretty nicely now. Several trees are starting to leaf out.
Looking forward to some boomers Tue evening

Nice soaker this morning with 0.26" already, and probably another 1/3-1/2" to go.

Will be fishing in MO north of the track in the Ozarks. Saw totality back in 2017 though so I'm good.

1" of snow here on Tuesday. Took heavy rates to add up to that as the ground was wet and it was the middle of the day. That snow was completely gone by yesterday morning. Snowed much of yesterday but it didn't even dust the grass. Shows how hard it was coming down on Tuesday.
Saw a few bursts of white rain earlier this afternoon.

2.11" of rain here since Sunday evening.

Snowed pretty heavily once the rain switched to snow early this afternoon. Came down hard enough it covered the roads and paved areas. Picked up a little over an inch.
-
0.80" since last evening, with rain still ongoing. Should pick up another inch or so by the time it all ends.
-
Broyles did the first day2 outlook early this morning, so wasn't surprised to see a major correction with the midday update.
Good luck and be safe to all you guys out east tomorrow, looking pretty volatile.

Have a shot at getting the most snowfall since mid January. All it has to do is make it to 0.4" to beat the 0.3" we received Feb 16th.
The timing of the most intense snowfall may time up right for accumulation potential down this way, as the heaviest rates look to arrive before sunrise Wed morning. Up to a slushy inch looks possible on grassy/elevated areas.

Nice thundery night. Picked up 0.12", and up to 3.18" for the month.
Lawns are really greening up now. Seems several weeks ahead of 'normal'.
