I'm currently at 10.04" of rain for the month IMBY... most of that came last week. We could really use a dry week.

Just incredible, what a Summer so far.  At least this week is much drier, but the yard is still too soft for the tractor.    What was your June total?

Not counting any rain that falls today I'm at 7.60" for the month of June. We've been in the jackpot zone locally... while the airport has mostly been missed by the storms this month. CLE will probably finish right around average with precip.

It's been an incredibly wet June, and noticeably more humid this past week.  Looks like it clears up in time for holiday activities.

Great weekend for t'storms locally. Over 5" of rain for the month of June so everything is lush.

Sure has been, several days in a row with good storms this weekend.  The thunder yesterday afternoon was almost continuous.... something I don't think I've heard before like that.  We were kayaking in Burton, and made it out just in time.

Probably another inch from today's storms.

Just a little frost out there this morning... hopefully that was the last of it. What a great week of sunny weather. The ground should actually be dry enough to mow this weekend.

Finally a pleasant dry stretch of weather.  Very much welcomed after last weekends trip back to winter.   Should be a great weekend for yard work.

Im with you here, if people havent realized the media sensationalizes headlines and stretches the truth for clicks I dont know what to say

    Yes, the media sensationalizes.

There are not people dropping dead in the streets from covid.

Assuming this is the last measurable snow of the season it looks like CLE will finish at 51.9" (16" below average). We will finish slightly below average in the Chagrin area but it sure didn't feel that way.

It sure felt like a great winter with the 2 big December storms.   My total is just below 90" on the season.

Definitely unfavorable trends. Hard pass on the snow at this point. We had enough tree/shrub damage from the early December storm.

True, I'm still doing clean up from that storm.  Oddly enough, this is the second year we have had no snow in March and a snowy April.  5" so far this year with the 4/1 snow  (8" last year).

This Mornings GFS is crazy over us lol

Ya things are trending favorably (or unfavorably...) for NE Ohio.  I'd prefer to get on with spring, but if it's going to snow, let's go all in .  Possible lake enhancement showing as well.  A few inches + are looking possible...

Don't know if you saw this, but I posted it earlier today...

    https://www.miragenews.com/shot-of-exercise-can-prevent-covid-19s-deadly-543704/

This study really shows the connection between physical activity level and severe Covid risk. I've posted other studies in the past too, like one where they looked at fitness level of people that did treadmill stress tests and risk of of hospitalization. The evidence that higher fitness level greatly reduces severe Covid risk is really strong. The new study that I just posted above says that physical fitness is the greatest severe Covid risk factor besides being old and organ transplant.

I think the problem is you are misunderstanding what severe Covid outcome means. These athletes that are stuck in bed because of being sick as a dog are not having severe outcomes. As rough as it is, it's a heck of a lot better than being in a hospital fighting for your life. While great fitness does not always prevent athletes from getting very sick, it does almost always prevent them from having the severe outcome of having to be in the hospital to be saved or even dying. This is a very good thing, and shows the importance of fitness to prevent things like lungs and heart failing. Also realize that while some athletes get pretty sick, there are tons of athletes that get mild to no symptoms. The virus has been much less severe for athletes than the general population. So you are dead wrong when you claim that healthy people are impacted as severely. The statistics overwhelmingly prove that you are wrong about that. A higher percentage of obese people will die from Covid, but very few healthy athletes will. Exercise is VERY important to reduce risk.

Looks like this is from the same study. Almost thought I was reading a headline for an article about the vaccine "reduce your risk of severe covid."

We're over a year in now. Plenty of time to have made healthier choices.

I’m just going to leave this right here, I don’t care who I offend anymore, but you all need to start asking yourself what is more important long term. Long term as in the economy, suicide rate, drug rate, child abuse rate, children socially, and academically. This virus Has a very very high survival rate among humans with no underlying conditions, and the majority of us under 65 will be absolutely fine.

You want the government to tell you how to live your life, but yet the government ignores their own draconian measures. Long term the inflation from the trillions upon trillions we have spent are going to be devastating.

How any of you feel like shutting down a multi  trillion economy AGAIN is beneficial is baffling  to me.

Though many refuse to hear it, this is true.  Those that love all of the restrictions are just afraid that their lives will go back to be boring after everything is over.  They enjoy telling others how to live their lives.

P.S. a quick quote from Fauci himself in response to the jack-offs that say his opinions "change" too much.

"If you change with the data," he said, "you’re not flip flopping."

What a bunch of goobers the anti-Fauci crew is. Seriously. Maybe not every Harvard grad is a great person, but you don't become the chief medical advisor of the last six presidents by accident.

He may be just fine at his job, but he is not fine at being the front and center guy for a pandemic.  Mixed messages = distrust whether you or I like it or not.

Just because someone is in the position they are in, does not always mean they are qualified for said position. Look around goober.

about turning off cable news?  yes, turn them off.  you are outraged because they want you to be outraged.

Oddly enough, this is a very true statement regarding alot of things that are going on with our country.  The msm creates and fuels the outrage.

you really have to turn off cable news and get away from the outrage machine.  mistrust is perpetuated by those outlets and you are part of the ecosystem by watching it.  turn it off.

Lol are you for real?  His flip flopping tendencies speak for themselves.
