GFS has July 4h weekend hazy hot and humid but from what we've seen the last two weeks that means about as much as the tooth fairy.

    WX/PT

Like the winter with cold, the gfs always wants to bring the heat in summer

Ensembles going stronger on the blocking and once again limiting the heat surges

Yup, heat is gone now for next week. Euro has us in the 70’s all week

Weekend looks marvelous upper 70s / low 80s day and 50s/60 night.  Monday too.  Change to warmer and hooter coming Tuesday seems to be the progression.  Still need to work out ridge axis and any storms.

Looks like another one hit wonder for heat next week

I kept hearing about a rainy cold pattern and doom and gloom. Yet in 10 days i only have about .53. Plus the weather has generally been beautiful the past 2 weeks with many sunny days and 80s. Another winner this week! Still running above normal!

it’s rained this past weekend on both days lol. We are above avg in precipitation for June lol

Another heavy downpour here in SW Suffolk. So the first two days of a June produced heavy downpours. The blocking and Great Lakes trough continues for the next few weeks on the EPS. Some hints of a slow moving closed low as we head into mid-June.  So several more opportunities for heavy convection at times.

This little cell that dropped down from the northwest is impressive. Lots of wind gusts 40 to 50mph. The strong wind from the north made it look like a tropical storm out there with the heavy rain blowing sideways. A couple nice lightning strikes too. Much stronger than any of those storms we had a few days ago.

Best storm of the season so far. Lighting and thunder are impressive
