Even if the boundary sets up north and west this weekend, we should see much increased Florida style pop up storms later Friday through and into Mon (8/8).  I would be surprised if there werent some decent down pours this weekend / flood watches.

Hopefully. We really need the rain

The GFS extended the heatwave to next Monday and the Euro to next Wednesday. The models now stall the front north of l-80. So this looks like one of our most intense August heatwaves in years starting today.

New run front stalls north of I-80

Old run too weak with WAR/SE Ridge

Would this mean more dry weather?

Quite a difference from a few days ago when it looked like 3-4 days of 95-100 degrees

Gfs and euro have been way too hot in the medium range. You can’t take those medium range high temps with any confidence

RGEM is closer to just a quarter inch for most of the area. Maybe some of the other models will be right about getting more significant rain, but I'm not getting hopes up too high.

Might be one of those situations where the rains weaken as they move in. Even .25 or something will be better then nothing

It was localized though..some parts of my cutting area only got a .50 but ill take anything and hopefully a big gullywasher  tonight and tomorrow

Unfortunately, that’s convection for ya. Hopefully Friday night is more of a area wide soaking

Tears in my eyes...most rain in al.ost 2 months

    Hillsborough  1.23 inches

    Hopewell .85 inches

If we can do this with the next 2 chances later today and tomorrow....

    .75" last night, a small miracle! :)

Loudest thunder of the season last night with the rain that fell. Euro did a good job with the placement of the heaviest rain

I see futurecast has heavy storms but it stays south of 95

Euro is less then .10 for tonight now. It does have a good amount of rain Friday night which has agreement with other models
