Could be a great opportunity for Chevy to offer him a replacement truck, or cover repairs, or something like that.  That video really was a legitimate advertisement for them. He said the right things to make you want to route for him (job interview, taking care of it).

As an upstate NY vehicle owner, I can’t help but be jealous of the condition of his +/-20yr old truck.  Trucks of that era are now badly rusted out up here.  My 2015 pickup already has the blisters on the box side. I had it undercoated (oil style, not paint style) when I bought it in 2020, but it was too late for those notorious areas.

Photo of the truck in the article below:

The video says a north Texas Chevy dealer is giving him a brand new 2022 Silverado. I’m always a bit surprised when they say the average age of a vehicle in this country is something like 11 years. That means there’s a lot older than 11 years. Around here any vehicle more than 10 years old shows it’s age and I think there are more newer vehicles.

These are the unvaccinated players on the Yankees.. Pretty much their best players lol

    Aaron Judge
    Gerrit Cole
    Giancarlo Stanton
    Joey Gallo
    Jameson Taillon
    Luke Voit
    Clay Holmes
    Kyle Higashioka

Anybody want to bet that this gets the mayor off his butt to lift the workplace ban on unvaccinated employees. Imagine the outcry if these players can’t play home games for the Yankees. I’m not sure who this applies to on the Mets but I’m sure it’s some big names there too.

Ikf is a very good defensive player and just a "stop Gap" till the Yankees top prospect volpe gets called up ..

The 26-year-old won the 2020 Rawlings American League Gold Glove Award at third base, along with the Rangers 2020 Player of the Year Award, as voted on by the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America. He transitioned to shortstop in 2021 and posted a .972 fielding percentage (19E/669TC) at the position, leading Major League shortstops in total chances (669), assists (436) and double plays turned (98). Kiner-Falefa also ranked tied for third among MLB shortstops with 10 defensive runs saved, per The Fielding Bible, trailing only Houston’s Carlos Correa (20) and Minnesota’s Andrelton Simmons (15). Additionally, he has played 73 career Major League games at catcher, posting a .996 fielding percentage in 586.0 innings behind the plate with just 2E and 8 passed balls.

    Good info.

Yankees Acquire INF Josh Donaldson, INF Isiah Kiner-Falefa and C Ben Rortvedt from Minnesota

The New York Yankees announced last night that they have acquired INF Josh Donaldson, INF Isiah Kiner-Falefa and C Ben Rortvedt from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for C Gary Sánchez and INF Gio Urshela.

I have mixed feelings about this trade.  I initially was a supporter of Gary Sanchez but after last year it became apparent that he was never going to be the player the Yankees hoped.  I have a little remorse for trading Urshela since he was a likable guy.  But it was apparent that he was reverting to the hitter he was before he came to the Yankees.  His glove will be missed.  Barring any additional moves the Yankee’s infield will be radically different this year.  Donaldson is at the end of his career.  Five years ago he was a helluva player but what does he have left in the tank?  He will also cost $50 million over the next 2 years when he will be 39.  Kiner-Falefa I’m not sure about but he is no Jeter.  Rortvedt is young, the Yankees must see something in him.  Im not sure if they project him to be their starting catcher or platoon with Kyle Higashioka.  I think this isn’t the last of the moves Cashman is going to make before opening day

Now its in the timeframe almost of watching the forecast for the wedding. I get married the 26th, she's hoping for 40s/50s and dry weather. For me 55-60F and sunny or a 30F and a snowstorm haha. 40F and rain would be the worst. At least the snow could make for some nice photos

Congratulations!  Remember, rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck. I don’t know what snow means, lol.

I just cleared off my wife's car (she has to work today...tax firm) and there was about 5 inches on it already. Ironically, it was one of the the fluffiest and easiest cleans of the winter. In March. Only a very tiny sliver on the bottom seemed wetter. The transition from wet snow to REAL snow must have happened quite quickly with the front. Beautiful out there!

I don’t know how you always get a couple inches more than me even though you’re only 15 miles west of me?  I just measured 3.2 inches here and snowing lightly. The back edge is rapidly approaching from the west.

I know this is a SYR-focused forecast, but 1-3" for the Thruway corridor from basically Del Lago on west is much lower than anyone else.

I was surprised at how conservative his forecast is. I wonder sometimes if politics has any influence. Saturday is the big St. Patrick’s parade in Syracuse and I wonder if he’s keeping amounts down for now so not to scare people away. If he needs to increase them tomorrow he can.

    Sizzle coming back next week

6 to 10 Day Outlook - Temperature Probability

8 to 14 Day Outlook - Temperature Probability

:clap:I’ve had it with this winter. I’m ready for warmer weather like last Sunday so I can get out on my bike. When we get burned time and time again how many times can you get kicked before you holler “no mas”?  Even if we got a foot of snow on Saturday the forecast for Monday is 50 so it’s going to melt anyways.

Nice, solid covering with huge, wet flakes coming down hard and accumulating. Temp is hovering around freezing. The overcast is actually quite low and thick, so solar radiation isn't affecting things too much. It looks like some nicer bands about to move through as well. Might actually make it to an inch or two by this evening.

Congrats to the Southern Tier and Eastern NY crew.

Most surfaces except for pavements are covered now. The temperature on my weather station has dropped to just above freezing and as the sun begins to set insolation is playing less of a role.
