Picked up a surprise inch of translucent fluff overnight.
Just a dusting here.

The band did make it here. Currently huge flakes being blown around in the wind. Shouldn’t last too long.

Decent snow here. It looks wintry for sure.
It’s just to my west, as usual. I can look to the west and see the snow clouds. That band will probably never make it to me.

I feel the days of building a deep snowpack are over for this season. We’re going to have to be satisfied with what we get on the backside of these storms. Maybe if we’re lucky we’ll get one to track just south of us and give us predominantly snow. Either way the increasing insolation from the March sun will melt whatever falls within a day or two. The 3.1 inches I got last night is already start to melt in the sun.

A dusting here overnight. The next two weeks look active. Which side of the storms will we be on, warm or white?

Came down hard for a while here but didn’t even stick to pavement or my deck.

Tuesday is the start of meteorological spring!

I'm now at 72 inches on the season. So, better than Syracuse...not horrible, but still well below normal.

Off and on snow showers overnight produced 1.8 inches of fluff. Adding that to the 1.0 inch during the day adds up to 2.8 inches. Add to that the 4.7 inches yesterday morning gives 7.5 for the entire storm.

The warning/advisories covered the 4-7” that occurred. The radar fluff that is falling doesn’t require a winter weather headline. We’ve become way too soft here if you think there should be one. We really need a real winter here.
He’s also jokingly (I think) saying that the dropping of the headlines triggers snow to start falling again.

Managed to muster another inch out of round 2 bringing the total to 5.7 inches for the storm. Now we wait to see what the lake effect brings. Channel 9 is downplaying it calling for a trace to an inch.

It’s been snizzling here for the last hour. I’m starting to see some larger flakes again so part 2 is beginning.

The Niagara peninsula in Canada is reporting some decent snows. It remains to be seen how much of that makes it here. We have flipped to sleet with some snowflakes mixed in.
-
Rough measurement looks like between 4.5 and 5 inches here. Currently it looks like a very fine snow falling, it’s not pinging or bouncing like sleet.

2 inches in the last hour at KSYR, 3 inches on the ground.

Really coming down out there. Much more wind than I was expecting. Looks like "blizzard" conditions out there!
Same here.

Snow has started in Brewerton.

Hard to believe we’re only a little over 12 hours from the start of the storm. There’s not a cloud in the sky right now.

Took advantage of the tropical breezes to get the rest of the Christmas lights off my house.

It would at least put me over 70 inches for the season.
