  1. How does one social distance at Disney World. It is impossible. Plus mask wearing isn't a big thing in Florida, Texas, the Carolinas.
  2. I'm not saying ceasing life though. But I don't see how a trip to Florida right now is remotely necessary. If you need to vacation, vacation locally, we have plenty of wonderful places here.
  3. Do I think we should lock down, no. But do I think full planes should be flying down to places where COVID has exploded in the last few weeks, no. Those airlines already got money to last until October to begin with too, so they are actually flying at profit now, which is why they can charge next to nothing. Even then they still eliminated quite a bit of routes and anything international. I am just for the prevention of needless spread. Flying to Disney or the beaches in Florida is just needless especially as that is one of the states doing the absolute minimum while having one of the highest rates of cases. I mean if we want to be honest the entire country should have done a lock down months ago but that was never going to happen, so we have to do what we can to prevent spread needlessly until there is a vaccine.
  4. Yeah and to me that is just insane. It is just way to spread the virus when you shouldn't be, just like Disney World being open.
  5. People really shouldn't be flying unless it is an emergency. I work at DTW and I see tons of people vacationing coming back from places like TX/FL/CA/NV/Carolinas. There is absolutely no reason to be going to those places for vacation right now. And I partially blame the airlines for this much traveling as they have lowered their rates to get people to fly, all that does is bring out the lower income people who are going to have more of a risk to begin with.
  6. That is how you overwhelm is a rural hospital too.
  7. Gross negligence and stupidity right there. That is exactly how you have an explosion in cases.
  8. More like he saw his numbers getting pulverized and is trying to do anything.
  9. Calling it the "Invisible China Virus" while doing so.
  10. It is a bit hyperbolic but it is hyperbolic in the sense of caution. I would rather be cautious than not.
  11. Since some here love to mention the 1% will die from the virus, lets actually look deeper at those numbers a bit more. Yeah when you put the percentages to actual values it looks more realistic than some sort of binary number used to minimize the impacts.
  12. If we can get a tropical system this week in the Gulf that could help pump the ridge northward as well, and slow the pattern down. I will buy in for a dollar on this heat wave coming in.
  13. Everyone stopped working? Weird I must have missed the memo when I worked the entire time along with 75% of all other workers.
  14. This isn't just impacting fat or old people. What the **** is wrong with you.
  15. You try living on 360 a week while having a mortgage/rent and utilities.
  16. I will trust this chart over your thoughts
  17. Cookouts are almost always outdoors, and restaurants having outdoor seating are safer than indoor. Indoor restaurant eating is by far one of the worst things to do right now...
  18. I am pretty sure he did everything possible to make it a "no win".
  19. I missed that story, got a link to it? Also hyperbole much...
  20. He gutted the infectious disease plans that previous administrations setup. He is far from blameless or just a guy who got a ton dumped on him. He did direct actions that prevented a better response.
  21. People keep calling it political football, when has the CDC or Fauci say you don't need to wear a mask? Months ago when no one knew what was up. That is like taking census data from 30 years ago and applying it to now. Just because they said one thing at the initial stages doesn't make it a political football. You still have people now saying who are doing so for political means.
  22. They are also limiting the amount of tests which is why the positive rate is still huge. I'd be careful of their numbers still.
  23. More like this isn't a political forum and the place that is has banned some here so they don't get a free ride. We don't care what your opinion is in the end because it's just that, an opinion and not fact nor law.
  24. Great question because I could easily devolve that statement he made into a political one because where the individual parties reside.
