  1. It could just be people who were working all along and now have extra cash as they aren't going anywhere or on vacation. I mean most people actually didn't get those unemployment benefits, so this could actually just be normal consumption.
  2. Yep, and this is short term which is bad, we don't even know long term but odds are it won't be good especially with this many having issues.
  3. Some but not all any probably no where near a majority, and even short term cardiovascular issues can be serious as can be. I don't get how some of you can be so cavalier about this. Also how is this report false, it was a direct study of 100 people who had covid, how is that playing into the hands of those wanting mass hysteria if it is completely valid. You guys are doing everything possible to take away the validity of something that should be wholly concerning to everyone.
  4. It is 78%, It would take a great assumption to think most of 78 out of 100 had some sort of damage beforehand. Mind you this is a German study, not an American where our lifestyle is such that it could be possible though still very highly unlikely. Fact is covid can have a lasting impact on the cardiovascular. Just look at Eduardo Rodriguez for the Red Sox, he 100% didn't have any cardiovascular issues before covid and you know that because MLB does physicals on their players regularly.
  5. That study had 78% who had some impact that didn't previously have that damage... Maybe they recover and heal but right off the bat there is damage post-covid which immediately endangers those who get it.
  6. You honestly believe that people already had heart problems before this? I mean that is quite an uneducated leap of faith that isn't remotely based in truth. The cases here were post-covid with cardiovascular damage, and none pre-covid.
  7. Dude you are the one beating the drum of people must work and the economy must go on. If anyone is taking anything personally, its you. Funny how me wanting people to be safe is somehow looked at as being a negative thing. Then again you are in a state with exploding cases but you could careless about taking precautions
  8. All you economists have no answers for what we should do other than opening everything up and hoping we don't kill millions. Sorry but that is about as irrational as can be, guess what when millions get sick how many people will be working or buying shit? You can bluster all you want about the economy but that doesn't matter with how many are getting sick and dying. Also nice shot at unions in there, guess where we would be if we didn't have unions throughout history. All it is, is profit over anything with you people. Who cares how much you stomp out the little guy as long as we make the absolute most money possible.
  9. And there it is, no surprise why you picked Detroit knowing your beliefs.
  10. He is upset that some are getting more than if they were working. But doesn't believe the workers should be paid more to begin with because he views their jobs as lowly. Its circle logic to him.
  11. Most of those people either A. have spent the money on keeping their house or B. are saving it for other things. Yes there are some spending which actually is good to keep the economy going but I believe that is a distant C and a good amount of that money can be contributed to the spending less on gas/travel even things like lunch at work add up.
  12. They are not just old and fat, and certainly not those who are being hospitalized. I mean how can anyone take what you say seriously when you are factually incorrect here.
  13. All of them aren't small businesses... and I was right about millions to begin with.
  14. All I am saying is there doesn't need to be endless small businesses and small businesses existing shouldn't stop us from saving people's lives. Those small businesses wouldn't exist if there were no consumers.
  15. Is there a need to have millions of options when we could have 100s of thousands? Again not every small business needs to survive, yes it is unfortunate but shit happens.
  16. What is the alternative? People losing everything. Can you possibly think a bit before commenting because you have a massive blind spot on reality.
  17. Yes and 1918 is history... Let me guess small businesses didn't exist then?
  18. Yeah right, you take issue with people getting money to survive but trillion dollar bailouts are no big deal. Those are digging the debt a lot further.
  19. Not only that but the assumption that every small business is going to have 100% success, not every business works out and sometimes pandemics dictate things over history.
  20. $600 a week, and that is so people don't lose their god damn houses, so to call it a gift is incredibly ignorant and this is coming from someone who is employed and has been.. Would you rather have massive homelessness? Also guess what makes up the other 56%, large corporations or government workers, and neither are going away and the corporations got a bailout as well as having bigger coffers. Again the economy isn't doing bad but you start taking this stuff away and you are going to see massive failures across the board. A politician would vote for that at their own costs.
  21. Last I checked the economy was still doing fine, funny how this bothers you, saving lives but corporate bailouts and massive tax breaks for corporations are no big deal.
  22. Jonger is an extension of that belief otherwise he wouldn't have posted that map.
  23. Yeah we have only tested 15% of the country and of that 15%, 9% of them have been positive. All this in only 5 months. I mean can you at least attempt to realize how dangerous this is instead plunging your head into the sand 24/7.
