  1. Making a big ass dutch oven pot of Vegetable soup. After getting what I would call a good phone call from my Dr. yesterday. Still don't know what is going on with me but all the stuff they tested for came back fine. So even though I do not believe that I have a food allergy, I have had such a good response from my body physically and mentally that I am planning on keeping dairy and bread items out or at least on the very low consumption. My skin still feels like it is on fire with ants crawling on it and I am still getting hives but the more I look into it and the fact that I am on medication to remove Estrogen to keep cancer away, it is looking more and more like I have hit that magical time in life where my body says F-you dumps all the hormones and and throws the book at you. So I hope to be showing more clean eating meals as I am diving into the Mediterranean diet.
  2. During winter here in MD I have found all I really want is sun. Can be a cold day with snow on the ground but sunny. Where I grew up in NWOH snow was a given most years. And it sticks around. But there were less days with sun. Making it hard on a persons mental state. Upon moving to MD over 20 years ago I saw that you can have snow and sun on the same day. As for the amount of snow, yes I seem to live in an area of MD that can get dumped on when a good storm track comes in. But I have found after several years that I am just not a snow person anymore. It is pretty and with that I have enjoyed the smaller events more. I had many reasons I was happy to move from OH. The change in weather patterns was one of them. I have found that I prefer a good t-storm over a good snow storm. But I do not begrudge any of you a shackling of snow. So not really sure where this post falls in the grand scheme of things. Probably just a rambling of my morning brain. Enjoy life!!
  3. He still works there. Well has been working from home since last April. Cool that you have the Dragonborn statue. We have gotten a lot of Fallout Swag over the last few years so themed off of that mostly. I have to say I like her fine too, although I will get slammed for the girl power thing and all. But personally at my age I just don’t care anymore.
  4. Sun is out over here. The Miss J’s are happy as the drive will clear itself.
  5. I don’t judge. Everyone has the things that make them happy. Just an accent wall. Have a dark gray on the walls surrounding the bathroom and a lighter version of that gray around the rest.
  6. I have been thinking with doing custom pieces. The customer gives me the piece they want done and how and I do the art work. I did a coffee table out of an old table also a few years back. Mr. J works for a local game studio so we use what swag he gets for our theme.
  7. So thought I would show you all my next project. The youngest Miss J wants to play more board and card games. So as we are finishing off our lower level decided a games table was needed. So trolled FB marketplace and picked up a cheap used table locally. Plan to do a Steampunk theme on it to go with the game theme we have. Have gotten Milk Paint and Mr. J is currently working on a gear piece template so that I can be accurate with the transfer. The example is just that as we chose different colors to go with the game room. Hope to get started on it today.
  8. Just woke to a winter wonderland. Big fat fluffy flakes. Eyeballing about 2” out of my bedroom window out on the deck.
  9. Grew up going to Cedar Point every year. It was not to far from where I grew up. Last time I was there was when we took the Miss J’s when they were younger. My parents went with us so Mr J and I could do the coasters. Let me just say I got on the Raptor and almost tossed my cookies. That was the day I knew I was done with inverted coasters. Hershey Park put the nail in my coffin when the Wild Mouse did the same.
  10. Taking the youngest Miss J over to ride her pony. Got to get in days in the winter when we can with no indoor.
  11. Ok so either it is because I worked out today or my barometric knees are leaning towards this storm coming in.
  12. LOVE LOVE LOVE Hootch & Banter!
  13. Oh yes! Looking for an English muffin recipe if she has one.
  14. When I was first married we lived in LA for 2 years. It exposed me to a fantastic range of cuisines. And I like to try new things. Well I am off dairy and wheat for now. May not have to be but it is helping with some weight loss I need anyways. Have noticed a difference being off wheat with having more energy and not bloated all the time. Have always been lactose intolerant.
  15. Chicken Sharawma salad. New health issues have me taking out certain foods.
  16. I don't exactly know how to take both of these comments. Can you both enlighten me with your intentions.
  17. Well total surprise just came in for the girls. FCPS has a snow day tomorrow. No virtual instruction as Central Office is closed.
  18. This is right up there with the tampon hotdog. @H2O
  19. Just want to say that I myself am dealing with some yet undiagnosed health issues currently and really feel for you right now. I never had the this is it feeling with this system, yes I know it is not scientific but call it mothers instinct. Hang in there and you can always count on me for yummy food posts in Banter.
  20. Just a pretty light snow fall up here so far. Nothing that I would warrant for a WSWar for as of yet. Just barely covering the grass would maybe eyeball about 2" started around 5ish this morning.
  21. Eyeballing about an inch here. Tiny flakes falling.
  22. Yea. I usually expect bigger storms in January and especially February. At least in this area.
  23. I don’t remember what we had. But loved going down and clicking up a score. She got it to help pass time in between doing laundry. With 6 in the family there was a lot of laundry.
