If we can get that Sunday rain to rake us all then we get the week off to a good start.

Its a big worry. The NAM/GFS Sunday rain was a welcome surprise. I hope it holds.

I saw a commercial recently where the guys camera was angled down too much and he had a tie and shirt but no pants. Was that the one?

Voyager will be delivering water in swim trunks. At least the GFS has some days with highs in the 60's after next weekend.

The CMC has been flip flopping violently in recent runs. Not worthy of the moniker King CMC I gave it after a good March. I was just on a zoom call with shorts (its Friday) and I got caught...thought of you. I crossed my legs they could see my knee.

After Saturday my home does not go above 60 on the GFS until Wednesday afternoon. Early week pants weather. Very rainy Sunday. Back to a frying pan for next weekend. CMC wants nothing to do with a wet Sunday this weekend. Nam is quite wet Sunday.

That is why making statements like "Its going to be X amount of temps in a week" can be hard to back up. I have failed so often I try to watch my words. LOL.

Yesterday it had us wearing coats at the same time frame. 30 degree difference. GFS says "keep the coats on"

Sounds like PA is somewhat following CDC. No mask if fully vaccinated except in transportation (buses, planes) and certain crowds (Phillies games still requires masks as an example). Only applies to the 30-35% who are fully vaccinated. Going to be an interesting next month or two of questions. Of courses businesses will not all follow. Just looked at the stats for PA and it seems about 4 Mill are fully vaccinated...out of 12Mill. MD is not following and requires masks in all indoor venues regardless of vaccine status.

Made it to 40. First night not in the 30's in quite some time.

So this suggests the vaccine is not the thing keeping Philly's numbers down. There seems to be so much about this we do not understand.

I think people wear the mask at the door then take it off. No inside enforcement.

Over here people are already back to normal as to stores. There are signs on almost every store that says masks are required and only about 3/4 of the people wear them. Really only Martins is holding the line and will not let you in without a mask. Walmart is half unmasked.

Its definitely a sticky situation. I think the fact that if you go out right now and see how normal things look it makes it hard to imagine people being denied access to a store. If people were keeling over on the street then it would be easier to enforce stuff.

It may be illegal in PA to ask for the vaccine card at normal retail locations or workplaces. Unless the bill was shot down, not sure on that. Its already illegal in Florida.

Yes, that is my understanding. The CDC proclamation is just guidance. I have heard figures in states that say things like 70% fully vaccinated in Maryland, 65 in WV, etc...before the masks can come off. And then the stores can make their own rules Re: Giant/Martins can say Masks required even if the Gov does not. So it may be a bit of a mixed bag. Some of your stats may support vaccines like you mentioned. Not sure what their rates are though.

One reason the Euro lowered temps across the board for next week is this sweet, sweet qpf map through next Thursday. Punt's the drought talk for a fairly large area of Southern PA. At least for 12 hours.

Why do you both still have your masks on? CDC said take them off and be free again.

Just looked at the 12Z GFS. You do get blasted with heat. Eastern PA is in that back door zone as NEXT/Week from now Fri, Sat and Sun its decent over there and a frying pan over you (esp Sunday). DP's are 10-15 lower.

I had not looked at the 12Z GFS yet but did look at the CMC which went from a high of 90 in MDT down to upper 60's (next Saturday) as we got on the other side of the front. Did not check DP's.

Looks to me that they both suggest back door cold fronts playing havoc with temp forecasting.

GFS has no frosty mornings through out. Still not overly warm though. Some low 70's a few days next week (Tue-Fri) then back into a more marine like 50's and 60's for highs and 40's for lows. It seems that this season each time the GFS suggest the heat is here for good, it backs down. Eventually the heat will be here for good....I guess? CMC is MUCH hotter. 90's next weekend.

I had read one of them was showing signs of something but regardless the public thinks the vaccines mean you are close to immune because that is how it is presented in the news sometimes. We all know they are not perfect but I thought that many players getting it was fairly high amount and really not much different than if they were not vaccinated. As Canderson said maybe the real answer here is that their issues were lessened by the vaccine.
