  1. I saw the 540 line in New England twice on the 6Z GFS. :-)
  2. CMC has a similar evolution. Hope is better than no hope.
  3. I see you guys discussing drought...at the end of August of last year we were over 10" below normal for the period May-August. It only rained some 1-2" the whole months of May and June combined. My farmer neighbor got his whole corn crop bought out by the government because it never fully flowered and wilted. Let's hope none of us have to go through something like that.
  4. GFS continues to depict the LSV getting into the top of the ring of fire and the "over the top" moisture feed next weekend. Acts to both keeps temps much lower than they could be (never hits 80 on the temp panels) and flows quite a bit of moisture this way with .75 to 1.25" LSV wide by this time next week. CMC moves the center of any heat wave west to the Ohio Valley.
  5. I remember when the drought set in last year we were talking about how Texas was stealing our rain.
  6. Yet, it is 41 here this AM and heat is blowing away. LOL.
  7. The grass shall stay green down your way.
  8. Sweet easterly breeze supported 54 here right now. Radar estimated 3/4" of rain in some areas of York county. Probably overdone on the estimate.
  9. Parts of York county look like they are getting a soaker.
  10. 75 out and the air goes on here. LOL. I am the poor mans version of Trainingtime :-).
  11. CMC and Icon think we near record highs at MDTlate week. GFS, Euro not so much. Here are the daily high records for MDT Wed-Sun (right column)
  12. Unfortunate. Next weekend is probably our next chance. Hate the ring of fire look on the EC though it is also now on board with bringing cooler weather back the week after this week. High night time lows though.
  13. It has rained here for hours but so slow it does not make the street wet. Better than nothing but not helping with the dry much. Cold though. 58. If the radar is to be believed, York and Adams are getting something more substantial.
  14. Icon says make it so. Going to be ugly if this trend does not reverse. Maytown Electric Co-Op better get the coal burning! GFS says no worries, a nice week coming up.
  15. Yea, sometimes being courteous or fitting in to avoid making others uncomfortable is a good thing.
  16. Saw your post in the MA. My simple way to explain the whole situation is if a store says shoes and shirt required, you are expected to wear shoes and a shirt. Same for a mask.
  17. Latest HRRR gives pretty much everyone in the LSV a grass watering.
  18. That's saying a lot after last year. On this side of the mountain we have had a LOT more rain the first half of May vs. last year. But the plants are wilting now and the Pond at Red Run is quickly shrinking again.
  19. Radar looks decent. Not sure how much virga is going on.
  20. Two of the stores I went in MD, Martins (Giant) and Petsmart in Hagerstown, they were not allowing people in without a mask. I am sure once in you could probably get away without one.
  21. Big time heads up shot by Oshie. Perfect screen/tip by Dowd.
  22. All it takes is a week of no rain for the lush grass to go dormant. And people growing flowers just need a few dry days before they need to add watering to their daily activities. Still think some in the lsv see rain today.
