  1. Chambersburg and Waynesboro throw down the gauntlet and already delayed tomorrow. For Waynesboro I believe this is the 4th event this month...two days closed and two days of two hour delays. Turning out to be one of the better Winter like March runs. Who had March being such a wintery month? Not sure anyone did. Sure, lots of warm days in there but 4 schools delays or closings...impressive.
  2. WGAL is winding up its school delay program again. It had put it away for the season.
  3. Still 34 here. Punting on 40. Looks like some other locales may just get there or a few above.
  4. I would not stop watching until the "Paweather 540 Line" is no where near your hood for a long time in the extended. It's in North and Central Texas on the GFS and CMC 8-10 days out
  5. Just broke freezing and up to 34. Winds in the 20MPH area so still not "nice" out.
  6. Some potential flakes flying Friday afternoon and then again April 10th/11th.
  7. These type of wisps/waves of snow were what so unique about the last 3 days. Saw it while driving Sat, Sun and Mon.
  8. I saw some low 50's. Did not see that high. But I was more looking at the lows and it not being a super hot period.
  9. Most guidance has you staying below or just getting to 40. I say most because I did not check every single one. LOL.
  10. LOL, good. Ignore those 2M temps though. 1-2" for Myra!
  11. You have your shovel ready for tomorrow am? HRRR drops about 3 hours of snow on you.
  12. PS, looks to be a pretty chilly weekend after the winter weather tonight/tomorrow Am. One day of warm in between.
  13. Have to split the fun with the storm and heat fans. Definitely one of the colder Marchs I have ever experienced ON THE COLD DAYS. Average wise it is well above average but with today will have had about 9 days it never reached 40.
  14. Yea, its not always actual HIA vs just calling an area HIA. You are not exactly a concrete jungle in Historic District. But reports of below or at 20 right on the Beltway around DC. Any given night can have better radiational conditions to our south but its is indeed not an uncommon experience. Temps in the LSV seem to stay above forecast level times when areas to their N,S,E and W do not.
  15. An example of the HIA can be seen than by looking at the MA Ob's thread. Almost all the lows were between 18-22 and that is in low lying beltway areas in many cases. This is not a one time thing. Those guys regularly report temps below the HIA area.
  16. I was surprised Whitetail was not still open when I went by this weekend. Guess that 7-10 days of above normal was too much for them to overcome after a sparse winter.
  17. Is missing a snowstorm on April 10th really an FU though? It would do a lot of devastation to have 20" of wet snow fall.
  18. The MU KU. 0Z had it though a bit farther west.
