  1. Min 43 to watch the second Jeltz HR LOL. Harry Kalas had a great call of this but cnanot find it right now. I was behind home plate, fairly high up for this game. Used to be a huge Phillies fan but just occasional now. @TimBmust not be monitoring our thread right now.
  2. A moderately strong storm just south of the M/D really rocking the boat here now.
  3. Yep, get your walking shoes on Rooker. The Jet is gonna to blast two homers today (and he did not start!)
  4. Well I did just comment that most Red Sox fans are obnoxious/cocky. The racism thing is a Boston issue as well...in and out of sports. But I have gone to games in many other cities...Buffalo, Tampa, NY (Long Island), etc...and I still opine that Philly fans have been harder to deal with. Politely cheering for your team has a greater than average chance of ending up with beer on yourself.
  5. There is more trash throwing, pissing on other fans, and swearing in front of children in Philly than "average". After one hockey game almost the entire stadium was chanting "F*** Ovechkin" on the way out of the stadium. It was shaking the the whole building. But I agree every fan base has some of those people. I lived in Philly for over a decade so am more than qualified for my opinion. :-)
  6. Well I am unsure if this is a joke or not but I suspect I have gone to more sporting events in Philly than anyone except maybe Training. Easily over 500. The fans are some of the rudest I have ever encountered. I was at every game that Steve Jeltz hit a HR at the Vet. (a rare feat). Most Philly fans are proud of their reputation.
  7. Yea, it does feel good when ones own stadium gets overrun but Red Sox or Yankees fans....and your team does something to hurt them. Most Red Sox fans are a bit cocky, IMO.
  8. Ours was a minor storm but some some flashes and probably a dozen thunders. It did pour though.
  9. 42 and a thunderstorm here right now Early nooners. yesterday was the only day we topped 50 so far this month.
  10. Yea, not good to use definitive in Jerrah world. Only thing I will ever say definitive about them is that they travel well as far as fans are concerned. Never an issue going anywhere as a Cowboys fan. Even Philly.
  11. Yea, having a sense humility goes a long way to being a winner even when ones team loses. It can go both way as well. I remember when UMBC beat UVA a few years ago (1v16) and I got all these texts from people trying to rub it in. The thing is, I never said UVA was a guaranteed winner so I was not deserving of those texts. So many have a jaded view of sports and if you announce you like a team, all of a sudden you are personally responsible for carrying them to a win. LOL
  12. I agree with Training. The usual result of "we're not" is it happening :-). The Mav's lost to the Wiz by over 30 last week.
  13. Yea, it would be weird seeing him playing for the Caps. Similar to someone like Hextall playing in DC. But I totally agree, goaltending it an issue...that and too many hero passes/rushes over the course of a game. Sammy made more than one 10 bell save last night but then was pedestrian on two of the goals.
  14. That happens tomorrow night. Shows how close things are...TT has most of it as rain.
  15. @paweather, did you see what Pivotals algorithm came up with? Chester County getting in on the goods.
  16. Caps needed that win otherwise the nervousness was going to set in. Though not sure their first round matchup is going to be fun.
  17. Not sure if we are officially in growing season but might see a Freeze warning Monday AM if so. Latest Euro snow map says @anotherman may have to do another trampoline measurement.
  18. Thanks. Model wise it went from a more snowy but shallow trough to the jet stream heading for the far south so no amped system but it truly looks familiar to weekend 2 ago.
  19. So apparently it was more than a joke, Thybulle could be playing golf in the first round as well.
