  1. That is a big worry of mine. Hoing temps go up a bit before it starts in earnest.
  2. That is right, thank you. Do you know dates and if the Nam is totally off?
  3. It was talked about on the MA thread a couple years ago and I saw some documentation on it but cannot find it now. So, I do not know all the details but know something is up. First the ETA and now the Nam.
  4. Maybe someone else here has more info but I read something about it a year or two ago.
  5. Not unless something has changed. Last I saw it was set to be turned off.
  6. Count me on the Nam train as well. Also, I frequently rely on the HRRR for pinpoint forecasts, but its depiction of the columns was off on this one. And to think they are turning the Nam off.....sigh.
  7. Going to be an impressive cache of precip going into the somewhat drier winter.
  8. This heavy rain has probably limited the ice accretion on the streets. Officially .65 here so not at 3/4 yet, just approaching as the rain is coming down. Sim radar has about 1/2" here but I think it runs a tad behind.
  9. We are up to 31, from 28 at 6:30, and very heavy rain with street flooding at the bottom of hills. No other issues on the roads that I can see but still probably not smart to drive for another hour or two. Trees covered in ice and sidewalks are slushy. Schools sticking with just 2-hour delay which is a bit surprising with all the rural roads here.
  10. The HRRR is caving to the Nam faster than a French Maginot line. Snow still to go per the HRRR. Most of the N Central snow is 10A-5PM. This is a 10-1 map so cut these totals by ~20%.
  11. That panel is one of the worst pre-Christmas panels I have ever seen. Thousands without power. Let's get the snow without an inland Hurricaine.
  12. Big Money will have to let us know if the eye is cleared out
  13. 28 and Frz here. Raining too hard for it all to freeze so water running down the street but sidewalks, trees, etc...covered.
  14. Still 33 here. Expect some evap cooling with the precip starts.
  15. Here is the link for 5 min updates https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=Kmdt
  16. MDT has been 30 and below since 7PM. They are at 28 right now. You probably saw reading before 7PM.
  17. Down to 32/24 here. Looks like much of the rest of the LSV is in the low 30's now as well.
  18. Cumberland and Adams take it on the head with the GFS Kuch (and a small piece of N Central MD). This is a true snow map, no sleet in theory.
  19. Nam, Rgem both held similar with their 12Z calls. Rgem changed the orientation of the snow line a bit....moved it south a little bit in true central PA but moved it north away from main LSV as to the Eastern side. GFS has blotches of sig snow well into MD again.
  20. LOL, you have almost no chance of that being taken to heart (highlighted)
  21. It is 37 at MDT and 39 at Capital City AND Indiantown Gap (way north) but only 36 at Thomasville. The Dp at Indiantown is 14 while it is 20 at Capital City. That is a big difference.
