  1. Darn impressive it is still in the 80's over much of the LSV with the sun basically not a factor anymore.
  2. We were partly cloudy much of the AM and it never really took off over here. Still plenty warm for early October.
  3. Not sure if dreary will be the word but this weekend looks up your alley! Hope you feel better.
  4. Only up to 78 here. Looks like MDT is doing 83 and CXY is surprisingly only at 84. Few WU readings of 87-89 in/near Reading.
  5. Some clouds around noon and only 72. Been slow to heat over this way today.
  6. The GFS did pretty good with this week (last week)...assuming today goes as predicted by the meso's now. But yea it is often exaggerated way too much to the hot or cold. The normal high for next Wednesday is 68 so if it goes to 70 or above, it's not the end of the world.
  7. Yea, I bet we do see highs in the 50's this weekend. I will have to forgo shorts. I cannot come to use the ensembles for temp tracking. Low positions, ok....but all 3 Op's are in the 70's 2-3 days next week. One of them is actually in the 70's Tue. Take last week at this time the GFS showing a near 90 day this week...today may be that day for the hotter locales (CXY recorded 86 yesterday.)
  8. All 3 global ops are a little more comfortable mid and late next week now with just 70's for highs. Step in the right direction.
  9. And Angel has been an ump since 1993. He has surely made 10 plus million at this point. 30 years.
  10. Angel might be trolling all the people who do well at their jobs....he makes 300-500K a year. Bugs are terrible out right now.
  11. The models showing 80's next week are indeed too far out to put too much stock in them. I would not want to bet on it not reaching 70 though.
  12. Wundermap shows a handful of local therms pushing into the upper 80's now (Near Harrisburg, Lanco.) 82 here.
  13. Not at all about the climate discussion but the meso's I looked at appear to be just as warm here tomorrow as anywhere in NY. Highest of the models being Mid 80's LSV (maybe 90 at CXY). Maybe the NWS is forecasting above the progs? The map temps on the RGEM appear to show 85 in NY and 84 in PA for highs tomorrow.
  14. Yea, I did not look at the Euro recently but the other big 3 were not a lot of rain in South PA. GFS rebuilds the heat dome in the central states next week then migrates it East. This has been consistent for several runs now. This is of course after a very chilly weekend and early next week coming up. First frost for the LSV is possible.
  15. Globals today still support that government qpf map from earlier this week...rich get richer to LSV's north as to rain that is slated to start Friday AM.
  16. CXY is shooting for an 80 at nooners. Already 77. MDT lagging way behind at 72. 69 here which is the coolest 11 temp since last Friday.
  17. Agreed, it's all over the place. I remember the farmer's almanac saying it had to be mid Nov.
  18. And it is not just MDT. It is many of the posters around the Capitol Beltway.
  19. I think much of the talk about lows before centered around John Q. Opinionated Weather Public that relies more on highs to gauge how a summer feels.
  20. You have said this a few times but remember, areas to my south and west were as or more extreme than me, so I think I was on the northern edge of the worst part of the drought.
