  1. He said something along the lines of the snow maps people are reading are going to change for the negative (for his area.) and to stop reading them. I do not have the full quote in front of me.
  2. The most commonly accepted Projection services have the Yankees winning the Division (both) and either TB (Fangraphs) or Tor (Pecota) as #2. Both those services have the Red Sox winning 80/81 games.
  3. More recently, Sox are good at excelling when expectations are low. If Grissom takes to his starting role and runs with it and SP just does average this year, it will come down to their BP and I am going to be positive and say they sneak in as a wild card at 88 wins.
  4. The one way a weatherman can always guarantee they will be wrong a lot is to guarantee stuff. He got some dings this month especially the Blizzard of 93 Chuck Wagons South snowstorm. He actually mocked people following it, at least that was the feeling I came away from reading his posts. I did not watch the video though...so not sure what he actually said.
  5. LOL, mark up Feb 22nd for another snow day out your way.
  6. Haha Don't look now (seriously, may not be good for ones health) but the MA LR is peeking out of the blinds.
  7. We are down to 34 with rain ++. No thunder yet. Heads up Cashtown and Ski Liberty.
  8. Are you angling for rates and frozen? (Joking, sort of) We have 700's but 850's are fried out. The 850 freezing line is off the Meso map to the north.
  9. Ditto here. Shade snow hanging strong but too much rain will push it.
  10. That is probably a safe bet. If all things are the same on models now, on Saturday afternoon, I would say 15 for you....Pillow may make a run for 9.
  11. Good Ole Maytown/Mt Joy area coming in with 8.
  12. Made it to 26 here but back up to 29 now as clouds moved in.
  13. The monthlies are in :-). (Yesterday's CFS)
  14. Nooners. 41 and Mostly Sunny. Still have some small pile snows and shade snow is going strong and will make it until tomorrow.
  15. It is sometimes. Once in Florida we had to play with sleet falling and temps in the low 30's. It was not fun, but we did it. I wore gloves. Usually, I will play if it is 40 or above. The ball does not travel well in the dense cold air and string breaks are all too common.
  16. Wind chill in the teens goes beyond my shorts wearing fare unless sports are being played. Meso's starting to ramp up Sat winds a bit.
  17. Well, you know I do not prescribe just to tellies. I just do not think we go into a forever warmth starting in Feb. The definition of cold could come up again re the average high on March 15th is 51 so some may say highs in the low 40's is cold. I suspect MDT has a day or two in the second half of March that does not go over 40. Whether it snows in March is not something that is predictable in my mind, but I think the temps will allow a chance for it at some point. Queen's, "Radio Ga Ga" Misheard Lyrics: All we hear is radio caca, radio cuckoo, radio caca All we hear is radio caca, radio la la Radio, what's new? Original Lyrics: All we hear is radio ga ga, radio goo goo, radio ga ga All we hear is radio ga ga Radio blah blah, radio, what's new?
  18. I feel that the second two weeks of March could be cold and maybe snowy. Hate that it melts so quickly then.
  19. Some mesos's predicting it stays in the 20's for some of the LSV Saturday. Not record setting at all but if MDT tops out at 32 or less it would be the 6th coldest high temp recorded for the Winter of 23-24. A stat that really shows how NOT cold it has been.
  20. It is the new word of the season (for me at least): Shade snow. Temps have not been too warm the last several days so the shade protects the pack.
  21. 24 and a moderate frost this AM. Mesos have a little energy dropping in to the trough this weekend so may be some mood flakes for south PA especially the west side.
