  1. Shortimers say rain should be over by 9 but scattered around the area before that.
  2. A lot of timing issues with clouds this holiday period. For MDT on Thu, the HRRR has mid 90's at 18Z, Rgem has near 90 and headed down, 3K mid 80's and headed down, while both CMC and GFS have low 80's. Not one of these models (HRRR does not go that far) show 90's on Friday. That does not discount the ability of the HIA area to over perform.
  3. 62 here as well. A 90 min round of Ninja Watering is in the books. Hope to not disturb too many early showers here. It affects water pressure.

  5. Just one opinion. On those days it is in the mid to upper 80's I would suspect eventual highs in the low 90's but still some uncertainty about how warm this weekend is going to be.
  6. 12Z GFS 18Z Temps for the holiday weekend (MDT) Thur-76 Fri-85 Sat-83 Sun-86
  7. We are only 3 days removed from seeing the 540 line dip down near the US Border....a rarity in the near middle of summer! How far behind can fall be now? LOL
  8. That sounds like the start of a who's on first riddle. Is this about time travel?
  9. Hot Pants Euro says the point and click is too low. GFS and CMC not nearly as warm as a ridge over us is squeezed by troughs to the east and west making for daily clouds and storm chances thus limiting temps a bit.
  10. I meant more the media. If we have a forecast of 5 straight days of 90-91, it is front page news. 5 straight days of 87-89 and only the weather segment talks about it. Just so much emphasis placed on that magical number which is just 3 degrees above the normal temp for this time of the year.
  11. That is the issue like always. The point and click for MDT has highs 3-4 degrees AN Wed-Sun (though some models are warmer, some cooler) but because that magical 90 mark is hit, it is a heat wave. The highest temp in the point and click for MDT is 91. If it is 88 it is a nice summer day, 90 and people are all of a sudden dying!
  12. Yes, it is like Saturday AM again here. Dark, billowing clouds, a chilly breeze (my wife is watering with a Hershey Bears sweatshirt on), and that fall like look. An amazing 62 degrees at 9:15AM.
